This Calphalon Cover Fit My 12" Zwilling Henckels Pan Just Fine!
My year-old 12" Zwilling J.A. Henckels pan didn't have a lid available from the manufacturer. Buying this Calphalon cover sight-unseen was a bit nerve-racking, but the lid fit very well, with just enough slight gap to allow a small amount of steam to escape. I've also used it in the oven for finishing off food up to 425F with no problems, though I do recommend you use pot-holders when taking it out the oven! On the stove top, the handle actually remains reasonably cool, but again safety is always a good thing! Build quality is always good with Calphalon, and this product certainly met my expectations of a good quality item I'll enjoy cooking with. Edit 3/4/2015: I notice now there are combination pan and covers available from Zwilling in their latest series of products. You'll love Zwilling pans, but if you have an older pan w/o a lid, the Calphalon is a good option. It has continued to work well for me after many additional uses since initial review here. Note this experience relates to the 12" cover only. I have no advice for the smaller 10"/8" Zwillings, as I just use some older all-glass lids from Goodwill from about 25 years ago for them (grin).

It Works.
I included pictures of my frying pan and a side view showing how the lid sits. Technically it does fit my Lodge brand cast iron frying pan BUT it’s not a really tight fit because in my opinion this lid is a teeny bit too big. Amazon asks if it’s durable. I would say yes but I’ve only used it a few times. Amazon asks if it’s easy to clean. I’d say yes except for food spills around the metal band which require me to use my fingernail. Amazon asks if it’s giftable. I suppose if you don’t really like a person all that well and you want them to know that they’re not worth any thought or effort when it comes to buying them a gift, this would indeed convey that message. While it will prevent bacon grease from splattering you in the face, it’s not like it was made for the frying pan.

Good Calphalon quality
I bought the 12qt stock pot about 12 years ago from Macy's with two steam baskets inserted. Recently I looked on in horror as the lid just jumped off the stove (smile) and landed on its handle and shattered. I was in shock and just stood there. I vaguely knew about replacement lids. In short, I realized the pot had roughly a 10" diameter. I bought this lid, which is obviously from the newer range. Upon receipt, I noticed that the new lid had a perpendicular 1/4" ridge along the under side along the lids circumference that was not on the older lid, and it had a more arched handle. The ridge probably helps seal in heat and the higher arch can better accomodate mittens. This lid fits the stock pot alone perfectly, but it is insecure when either of the steam baskets are inserted. The steam basket can function with the lid on, but you have to tilt the lid 2-5 degrees or so, as it won't lie flat. Hmmmm. I don't expect I'll ever find the original lid, as my pot is 12-years old. But for the price, this lid is satisfactory.

Needed a well made, glass and metal rimmed pot and pan lid. I got it, wow
Hey you know I just have not been happy with some products I have had to buy in the last few years due to quality issues and things just not being well made. This lid is not one of those bad examples. If you are looking for a good solid but light weight and easy to clean lid buy this one, it is great. Now when you cook with this lid, if it stays on the skillet long enough it will sometimes get hot to the touch so wear a good cooking mitt or use a pot holder. But it is a wonderful product, I do not fault it for getting hot sometimes, that is the nature of the beast so to speak.

Water gets Trapped
This replacement lid is different from the ones included with the original set. In the replacement lid, there is a space between the rim and the glass where water gets trapped. The original lids have a solid black "seal" to prevent the entry of water. I was able to get the water out thanks to a reviewer's recommendation of placing the lid in the oven at 290 degrees.

Wish I would have bought sooner!
I've had the set of two calphalon pans for 11 years - my large pot lid fits the small one, but I've always been frustrated I didn't have a lid for my large (12") pan. In the past I've just used a sheet pan for a lid when needing to cover food which did it's job, but was never a great solution... This lid is well worth the very affordable price; not only looks great, but works great too. I love that it's glass top so I can see the food inside, and it fit perfectly. I've already used it multiple times in the last 2 weeks!

It fits.
Purchased this cover for my fry pan. It fits; to works as expected. The only issue I have is that it can get stuck onto the pan rather easily. I don't wish to scratch my pan so I get concerned about using it.

Had a hard time finding a 12 inch lid to fit a fry pan I owned - but this one was priced well and very good fit. Easy to clean.

Heavy and Sturdy
Fits the frying pan well. Heavy weight helps to seal the cavity and get that steaming going!

Quality
This is well made and very good value. If your buying this to fit a 12 in lodge cast iron frying pan it will not fit properly but still works.
