Works awesome
I got two of these to help our election judges open ballot envelopes. They opened close to 10,0000 envelopes in about two hours. They made the whole process so much easier.

Great Letter Opener
We had a Martin Yale 1628 that was half the price of the 1632. The 1632 is so much better. It is well worth the extra money. It goes about 3 times as fast and you can run about 3 times as many in a batch.

This is a serious letter opener. It works great to open a bunch of mail in a short amount of time. By far the best letter opener I've used.

It has alot of potential
I bought this machine thinking it would allow me to process large batches of mail in short order. The machine worked primarily like it should, but I had to examine each batch to ensure they were completely open. I had to redo whole batches that were only partially open or not open at all AND I had to dig out the sliced tops from the holding tray. It was messy and annoying. I would suggest a cut out at the back of the catch tray so the cut slivers can fall into them. I would also suggest a guide of some sort, at the front of the machine, to allow the envelopes to stay against the back of the machine. I noticed that in some batches the envelopes shifted as the pile went down, which caused the envelopes not to cut.

Light duty opener
We use this for our office which can get up to 100 envelopes each day. This works okay, but doesn't have a big hopper to place envelopes, and doesn't have a separate section for the "trimmed off" pieces. Also, you have to reach over the turning belts to shut it off.

Saves time and is worth the money!
Great letter opener. It is expensive but makes the work of opening hundreds of letters a day much easier! There's no real trick to it, very straightforward. Saves a lot of time and is worth it.

worked until almost a year having it
This opener worked great until just shy of a year having it. The blade stopped spinning when turned on. Disappointed that it stopped working. Bought this for our office and was hoping to have this for a longer time.
