Excellent brush for stain! Got two of these brushes to use with Defy Ultimate stain on our house and garage with vertical western red cedar siding. Wanted to be sure that my professional painter had the best brushes available, as the stain was a new and unfamiliar product to him. I was experienced with the product, so knew what was involved in the proper application of it. I also knew that high quality brushes were crucial to the proper amount of stain and no lap marks on the boards. My painter said the brushes were terrific and they cleaned up so easily.

Have always stained my deck by hand with a brush. I'm never satisfied with coverage any other method...back-breaking work, but worth it. On my current deck (8 years old) I have used Ready Seal every time. This was my second staining using a Wooster Bravo brush, and it is hands-down the best brand and quality of any brush I've ever tried. Don't waste time looking at anything else, I've tried them all. Holds the stain well, loses very few bristles, and the coverage is awesome.

Holds the stain well. I put it on the end of a pole. Fits into the stain can. Absolutely my favorite stain brush, and I stain LOTS of decks!!

I am a floor coating professional. I purchased this to stain/color cement polymer overlays. The brush held the colorant with hardly any drips and released where I wanted the color. I may have lost 3 bristles over the 500 square feet floor. Appears to be made well, and hope to get many uses out of this brush.

This Brush was Perfect for Deck Stain

I used this brush to put two coats of water based stain on a deck with about 500 SF - held up well - no loose fibers coming out - cleaned up very easily. This is a good width for standard 6" wide deck boards. Note - due to thickness of brush, and the fact that the end is not tapered, the brush does not apply stain very easily to the edge of deck boards in the "gap" between deck boards. Most of my gaps are 1/4" and I have to "slop" paint on board edges to get it run down as the brush would not fit down into that gap.

I put in a new fence and needed a brush that maximized the amount of stain applied without slopping it everywhere. This brush did the trick. The size allowed me to stain one slat at a time. It wasn't the greatest in tight spaces, so I used another brush for that. It cleaned up well, and I'll use it again next time. I used a foam brush for the fence as well. The foam brush covered a little better on smooth boards, but this one was better on the rough side of the slat.

Excellent paint brush! Perfect size and comfortable handle. I used this to paint our new fence. It made short work of a big tedious job! Would definitely recommend!

This is a perfect brush for staining my wood project. I built a 16’ wide x 10’ high trellis to add privacy from nosy neighbours and while I could have sprayed the stain, due to wind and lack of a good spray area, I decided simply brush it on. This brush holds stain very well and provides excellent coverage. Highly recommend this brush!

It holds a lot of stain without dripping all over the place. Very nice brush to work with. Cleans up very easily with soap and water. Good purchase.

I stained 2 decks using Thompson Water Seal and this brush and they came out beautifully. Definitely a great buy.
