I was sitting in a hotel and noticed this colorful coffee table book. I was flipping and reading history, when suddenly I noticed MY GUITAR was in the book, a Yamaha. I just watched Led Zeppelin Celebration Day DVD and was able to see the background on the various guitars used by Jimmy Page. Excellent resource, fun to read the history, large clear colorful graphics. Highly recommended to guitar enthusiasts.

I ordered this book from my friend Adam G. who loves music, the Beatles and Twilight Zone episodes with Rod Serling. My Roommate/Friend John R paid for this book and I paid him back. This book was a Christmas Gift for Adam. He likes very much.

A very good overview of most classic guitars, even some obscure electrics! Was a gift for my dad, he didn't put it down all Christmas Day :)

The book is well made with nice quality printing and photos. It's of good size as well. However, the written content is really weak. The given example/s of guitars from each of the makers listed are mostly terrible. The worst possible choices were made. They mostly look like new 80s type models. The title is also misleading because there are so many important makers omitted, and a bunch of the ones included are obscure. Mind you, I don't think obscure is bad, but give us something worthwhile. I have to say, as far as content goes, this is the worst book on guitars I have ever seen.
