A little tricky
Purchasing experience:The seller offered one price for individual sheets of the tiles, a lower price for a multiple sheet box. When I tried to order the box they were listed as unavailable and I was forced to order four individual sheets. i.e., a box. The order was loose shipped with four individual sheets in a plastic shipping envelope. Most of the sheets had suffered shipping damage with dents and dings along one edge or another of the individual sheets. Being a glutton for punishment, I returned the order and requested a replacement.Product Impressions:These tiles look nice, but understand what you're getting. Individual tiles are very thin veneers of stainless steel fixed to a fairly thick adhesive backing. If you are thinking of these as being replacements for thicker ceramic tiles, you'll probably be disappointed. I'd also be a little cautious about thinking of these as bullet-proof sanitary back-splash. I'm sure they can be cleaned, but its not like they are hermetically sealed tiles: I thinking caulking would be a serious challenge. You'll be happiest if you think of these as an architectural statement, and they do look nice if you're trying to showcase stainless appliances.Application:These are a little tricky to apply. I'm not a total neophyte, but I found these to be a little bit of a handful. After laying out my field, I applied them along my centerline. What I didn't count on was a little sag/flex in the tile sheets as I tried to butt them together. I grabbed the 2nd sheet from both edges and tried to place it against the one I had already set. The second sheet was not quite as rigid as I expected so I got a little gap between the two sheets when I set the second in place. Remember, once these are down, they are DOWN. Based on personal experience, I can tell you these adhere VERY strongly. If you get them set and want to move them, I found the best way to dislodge them was to slip a putty knife under one edge and slice sideways between the wall and the adhesive backing. Needless to say, you'll need to dip into your spare to replace it.

It’s paper, not tile.
I guess I didn’t read the description well enough, but I didn’t see where it said the checkers where just paper. It’s so cute and easy to cut to make the right size for your project. The adhesive could have been stronger and I wish it wasn’t paper. We still used it, but I don’t think this will hold up for the long haul- still, I am hopeful!!

Easy to install but be careful
These are really cool, very easy to stick on, almost too easy. The challenge with installing is getting your lines straight, because they are impossible to remove once stuck. You cannot slide them a little to adjust. I tried to remove one and it actually tore up the plywood backing it was attached to. Very reasonably price IMHO for a contemporary look.

Love the look!
I really liked the look of these tiles. They stuck to the wall easily so he sure you have them lined up the way you want them! They look super nice and easy to wipe down.

Checks came off when protective plastic film was removed
Don't know if these stick-on tile sheets were old, stored in poor conditions, or are just inferior quality. When our contractor went to remove the protective plastic film placed on each 12" tile, the black and white checks, which are independent 2" sections, came off with the protective film, making the tiles unusable.
