I would advise you to get 10/12, there are 3 rows of hooks to choose from,for that perfect fit.

Q: Can anyone tell me how long this is? I have a pong torso and always find these things to be too short.

The width is 25cm, suitable for most people. I think it will be uncomfortable if the waistband is too wide

Q: Are these able to be used during exercise?

Yes you can wear this as you exercise i use it for gym workouts and I wear it under my clothes !
