Pela: Phone Case for iPhone X - Compostable Alternative to Traditional Plastics - Phthalate and BPA Free - Precise Cuts for Charger, Speakers, Volume and Power Buttons

I love the bee design, color, and that it’s biodegradable. I dislike that it quickly became discolored and the staining is permanent. I’ve had it for about a month and it fits quite loosely even though I’ve only taken it off twice. For ~$45, it’s too expensive to have these issues.

Within one week of purchasing this case (for iPhoneX) I dropped my phone from hip level onto the a standard, smooth, concrete sidewalk, and my phone screen shattered.It did absolutely NOTHING to protect my phone. The case slipped off when it landed on the ground. So disappointed at a $40 case cost loss and a week in a foreign country with no phone to use. I have had a number of cases; Otter box, Lifeproof, Speck, and I have never had a phone get damaged at all from such a simple drop. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Not very earth friendly when all the precious metals from my iPhone will now head to a landfill.

Love the quality and durability of this case as well as the feel. All biodegradable and uses recylclable materials which I love and which is why I purchased this phone case. I absolutely love it however the price is a little expensive in my opinion.

Three stars when it should be two, because I love that there's simple recyclable packaging and I LOVE that this is an eco-friendly product.The Good: The case is a good fit, not as tight as a silicone case, but it fits well. It's also really pretty. I'd rather spend a bit more and put my $$ behind an ethical product, so that's why I bought the case.The Bad: The big BUT here - This case really offers NO protection at all to the screen of the iPhone. I bought (thankfully) a really expensive screen protector, which is why my actual phone screen isn't in pieces right now. I've never had a less protective case - it breaks the screen protector EVERY time it falls. Luckily I am quite careful, so have had only two drops since I bought the case in February. Both time, the screen protector took the impact, so my actual phone screen didn't shatter. Really disappointed and had to update my review. I wanted to love Pela soooo badly, but the case is pricey for being so useless at front protection of your iPhone.

This thing has protected my phone through several drops so in that respect it has done its job well so far. It has a rubbery feel to it so it must absorb a lot of the shock. Sadly it took only a few days for my jeans to make the yellow appear really dirty as the dye rubbed off onto it. Also, my brand new pop socket doesn’t stick to it. Overall I am happy with it and I just gave up the pop socket. I’m happy to know that when this case reaches the end of its life I can compost it in my back yard rather than toss it into a landfill. I would recommend if you can overlook these two details.

I ordered this case in early December for my daughter's iphone x. Just getting around to writing this review. It doesn't fit - at all! I realize that they may vary slightly in size - but again, this was ordered for an iphone X and it is so small that I actually tried to see if it would fit my iphone 7. Too big for that too. It has been sitting on my shelf and I have missed my return deadline by a couple of weeks.Add to that: My daughters bought a case for my iphone 7 and it is so big we actually thought it might fit the iphone x that I originally bought for my daughter. No - super big. (That one was bought from the Pela company - not amazon - but also for Christmas.)Not sure if anyone ever ordered one and it actually fit their phone - but we are unhappy all the way around - whether ordering from Amazon or the Pela company. Unfortunate too - because my family is all about buying things recycled, etc.

I like the case and will keep it to avoid the hassle and waste of returning it. However, the case I received is plain and does not have the turtle on the back.

Had the phone case one day, turned blue from my hospital scrubs. Would not wash off.
