Barrington Barber Introduction to Drawing Paperback – 15 January 2015

I had been borrowing this book from the library and then decided to buy it. It is a great book for beginner and I am sure more accomplished artists as well.

Borrowed from the library and after enjoying the approach to getting started with my new hobby I decided to buy a copy. Good value, has lots of content, advice and exercises. Starts with simple drawing dots, shapes and then shading. Those basics are really useful! Recommended to anyone starting out with drawing.

I have another book by the same author which I slightly prefer but this book deals with the basics: Basic mark making, perspectives, still life, landscapes, portraits and human life. A great introduction to help you understand techniques.
