OVOMALTINE Malt Extract - Beverage Mix - Chocolate Flakes - 10.58 oz

Out of desperation I have tried the Asian knockoffs before, but this Brazilian product is the real deal!!! I grew up in Germany and whenever I went to Switzerland I would devour Ovomaltine while skiing in the mountains. As an adult I lived several times extensively in Brazil and was delighted to find the same product there. It is coarse - which gives it a nice crunch when you eat it with a spoon 😊 - and easily dissolves in milk, warm or cold. The knockoffs don’t do that are more powdery. I LOVE IT!!!

Tastes ok. would be good on ice cream or use is deserts. Or cereal. Shipping not so fast. Price was fair. Packaging was very good

Good product as known and used in Brazil

THIS is how they made them! The crunchy malted flavor of those amazing “crocante” milkshakes from Bob’s is just vanilla ice cream and THIS stuff. Brings back happy memories and makes an AMAZING chocolate milk (way better than the US formula of Ovaltine, no CLUE why they don’t sell it here!). Totally delicious and worth the splurge.

Not the original taste from the one in Europe!! I was desperate for some Ovomaltine so I took the bait but it’s unfortunately so not worth it for those of us who know the real deal. Maybe most positive reviews are from people who only know this South American version but you can’t even taste the malt or cocoa, just plain sugar with some crunch. What a disappointment! I will just have to pack some Ovomaltine coming back from France!
