Worth every penny.
Just got it last week. It has way more power than I expected. It is a phenomenal tool and addition to my shop. I gave it five stars because it is easy to change bits, adjust height, and powerful. If I had to complain about something, the base plate that comes with it can't handle a collar for a template... but I knew that when I bought it. Despite some of the comments, the LED lights work well. I think the only other thing I would add if DeWalt is listening is a dush shield on the open face side. Just something to deflect dust away from the user. Awesome tool.

Handy size, plenty of power, no cord!
This is the second one I bought! They only take 1/4 inch shank bits, but there are a lot of bits that will fit! Built in LED lights and clear base, so it’s easy to see what you are routing!Fits in both a fixed and an accessory plunge base, and an edge guide is available that works with it (it’s reasonably priced and works fine!)Easy to hold and fits the average size hand well!Easy to adjust depth of cut with the fixed base, and really easy with the plunge base! The 20 volt Batteries last a good long while. The higher the amp designation the longer the battery works for you!My first mine is over three years old and still going strong! Great little router!Highly recommended!!

A pleasure to use.
Another DeWalt tool that's a pleasure to use. This is my first router and I'm very happy with it. It's a bit heavy but solid. Fingertip control. The square side of the clear plastic plate contributes to the ease of use. The adjustment ring is a must-have and worth any extra cost over another brand. This is such an easy-to-use tool, easy to change bits and adjust the depth. To save battery time, I've been using it at its lowest settings, even on hard black walnut, and have no problems at all.I've always advised to buy the best tool you can afford at the time. This tool is worth saving up for.

Nice little router
Powerful little guy! It has had no troubles chewing into plywood or walnut with 3/4th mortise bit. Well designed tool with respect to depth adjustments and visualization of work area. The router fits the hand well and should be hard to hurt yourself if it's being used appropriately and with care. The router loves eating down batteries though. If the LEDs are flashing it wants a new battery. Keeping the speed between 2-3 will help quite a bit, and is typically the right speed anyway. The short battery life is not overly surprising given it's job. Probably need a corded item if you have lots of routing to do.I doubt it can be avoided in any palm routers but if the battery isn't removed when changing the bit the router will eventually harm you. The power switch isn't overly guarded. The collet lock button should keep your paw away from the switch but If you're absent minded about such things you should probably stay away from the tool class. Routers don't amputate but instead maul flesh.Overall easy tool to recommend for quantity (not power) limited routing tasks for safety minded folks.

Very compact and efficient luv this thing. Helps for hard to reach places and can use it anywhere.
Love it use it all the time. Light handy efficient. Recommend getting plunge base as well. Nice handy little tool. Pretty descent in batteries. Small batteries might deplete quickly . Have a few big batteries for large projects even small batteries in for small projects. Really do like this only thing that personaly bugs me is the power switch is a pain to in and off but it's for safety I'm sure so idiots don't hurt themselves I understand but I hate all this bubble safety crap usually I take it off my tools guards locks all that crap lol. But the world we live in I understand DeWalt 🤣💩. Tool is very nice

Great for my job!! Time saver!!
I’ve been doing cabinet renewal with laminate for a good bit now. I use a corded makita for my laminate to wood cut outs and I use this Dewalt with a finish bit for my laminate to laminate cut outs. The router performs well by the time my corners are done it looks like they came out the factory. It is also well built and it is easy to change out bits fast! All in all this thing saves me time not having to drag a cord around and time is money!!
