Fun and a good start for activities with kids
This is a fun story of a stone which gave me the desire to paint on stones and I am not a child anymore (unfortunately). I love the idea. Illustration is great and it flows with the words. The characters are expressive and it reminds you of what one can do just with a few lines: there is a great universe in this book and children will get involved asap. A great idea for rainy days and a good pretext for sunny days to go looking for stones outside!

CUTE! 🥰
A very cute short fun story about making stone art. Very uplifting with colorful illustrations. Young children should enjoy this, and this old grandma enjoyed reading it too! ☺️

Complete with a lovely activity at the back!
A lovely book! I love painting stones, and this is something the kids in my house do too. I love the idea of making others happy in life. The activity at the end of painting a rock and giving it away for someone to add to is a great idea for doing in the EYFS. It’s a great idea to make others happy by giving a beautiful piece of art to another person to add to, before they pass it on to someone else!

bello, bello, bello
Sono una grande fan dei libri di Diana Alber e questo come tutti gli altri dalla seria è eccezionale sia come storia che come concetto artistico. Bellissimo davvero!

This is a must for teachers
I am a kindergarten teacher and I stumbled across this author in the past year. She has published a few books now that all have wonderful messages about kindness, inclusivity, co-operation, being unique and growth mindset. This book is absolutely awesome, as it also has an option to purchase a created activity booklet. It compliments my social/emotional program in my classroom perfectly. The story is a great introduction to children about being the best you can be and to find your own talents and work at them. The extra benefit besides the social/emotional concepts and message in the story is that it is set in rhyme..... I can then do additional literacy lessons with the class about phonemic awareness..... Then we move onto art where the activity book is so helpful, as it shows step by step ideas on different "kindness stones" to make. I am not that "arty", so this helps to show the students some great prompts. They have all become extremely enthusiastic about the whole "kindness stones" concept that after an activity in the classroom - they all went home badgering their parents to go out and purchase river stones and paints to make them at home.... It is so cute seeing the students coming back to school and hiding these stones for their friends to find. One student even has planned a birthday party next week where the book will be read and then the guests can all create their own stone... How cool is that! So much learning has come about from one lil story book.
