Hoping for good protection
I am using this to precoat alcohol ink paintings on prosthetic legs hoping that it will protect from sunlight. Final coating is epoxy resin over the varnish. It applied very well. Time will tell as alcohol inks are fugitive and fade drastically from sun. Fingers crossed!

Awful spray!!! Beware
I’m writing this review to warn artist!! As much as I wanted to believe this product, it completely ruined my watercolor piece. Leaving musty misty haze over my watercolor painting. Can barely see the once beautiful stained colors that use to be!! Watercolor is a hard medium to use and takes time, so having it covered up by this spray was heartbreaking😞For other watercolor artist out there, please don’t use this product!! Instead seal your watercolor paintings with cold press wax. It’s the safest way to seal it!!

Keep your paintings vibrant and protected through the years
As a water color artist, I use it to preserve my paintings. Easy to use, just keep a distance and spray lightly in a well ventilated area..It does not distort paintings or make them look different from the freshly finished paintings. Love the fact it will preserve colors from fading.

Even coating, very nice matte finish
This product IS tricky and does require some trial and error. At least, the can I got requires some attention. Keep in mind as well, that this is my first time using a product like this, so I needed to learn newbie kinds of things.Having read previous reviews, I followed the instructions to the letter and tried my first coat on an oil-based black lino print that was a test print. Here is my experience and a tip or two:1. It is winter and I don't have an indoor space where I can spray this, so I went out into 43 degree weather, which is outside of the recommended temperature range of 55-75 degrees. The cold may have impacted performance. I got glops on my print and noticed that the very fine spray was accumulating on my trigger finger, which may have been dripping down into the spray zone. The nozzle was soaked at any rate, so glops seemed inevitable. I stopped, regrouped, cleared the nozzle before recapping, and went and got another test print.2. Given the cold temps, I filled a medium bowl with hot tap water and stood the can in the water, which came up maybe half way. I did not submerge the can or get the nozzle wet. My intent was to warm the fluid inside to offset the cold outside and to make shaking its contents easier. The can sat there for a few minutes while I set up my second test print. This is a trick I've seen contractors use before, so I applied it here and it seemed to work well.3. I used a paper towel when I depressed the nozzle, hoping to soak up any spray that might accumulate around the nozzle.4. Knowing that the spray is very fine and does tend to accumulate around the nozzle, I'd spray one coat, wipe the nozzle, shift the paper towel, and spray the next coat.I used all of the above tips on not only an oil based print, but an 11 x 14" watercolor as well. All of my efforts seemed to help, and I had no more glops after that first attempt.I will continue to test spray if the can has been sitting for a while, just in case.I'm really pleased with the finish of this spray, which to my eyes seemed to deepen, or enrich the colors, which I really liked. I love matte finishes and will continue to use this product. I even wet my fingers and went over the watercolor (after it had cured for the recommended time) to see if it would smudge and it did not.The spray is a very fine mist and seems to cover evenly. Keeping the can moving really helps keep the layers nice and thin and even. Very happy with this product.

Wonderful product
Fast shipping & great product as promised! I found out about this product from sea lemon on you tube. I used it on a paper book cover & it worked great. The product did not make the paper crack or get hard. It gave the paper a nice glossy finish

Ruins your paintings
It doesn’t spray, it spits. I should have known better after reading all the reviews about it. Since it spits, it leaves a white cast on painting after it dries. I tried different mediums which are recommended on the can and followed instructions to the T, but it spits and leaves a white layer on the work. ( i tried atleast 5 times each on different work) I would recommend to buy something else for your artworks.
