The unit is quite sensitive. I use mine to decode Morse Code with a program i'm writing in Python. People ask me if it can be directly wired. I should imagine that if you remove the microphone and match the impedance the answer would be yes.

Sounds quality is good

I’ve used in an arduino project and it functions perfectly. The digital output is HIGH when sound level is quiet and LOW when it’s loud. You can adjust the threshold using a small screwdriver. These are excellent value for money.

Just grab them from aliexpress cus its basically the same product. The quality is not good but it’s enough for simple volume detection or beginner arduino projects. Would not recommend for any type of multi microphone sensing or analysis of input sound

Was looking a simple “loud” or “quiet” but the sensitivity was very hard to adjust and unstable
