Good solid toothbrush

The Philips Sonicare 5100 battery lasted 3 weeks using it once a day. I use another electric toothbrush (Braun) in the mornings. During this time I used and alternated 2 of the options each day (Clean/White or Clean/Gum Care. The jury is still out as to whether one should wet the toothbrush after applying toothpaste. The timer for Clean lasts 2 minutes (30 seconds for the top, 30 seconds for the bottom and same time for the top back and top bottom – it buzzes each 30 seconds . White lasts similarly for 2 minutes. Gum Care last for 3 minutes.The difference made with this toothbrush has been a healthier mouth/gums and teeth. Although somewhat expensive, I feel it is worth the cost. One gets 2 brushes too. You do need to buy the 2 pin adapter separately. Make sure you Register your product and keep the box with the Serial Number on it. The initial charge took 24 hours, after this 12 hours worked fine to fully re-charge.

I have now had this brush a few months and a good replacement for my previous Phillips Sonicare. intelligent, simple clear brush modes, and a good timer that tells you exactly when to move to another part of your mouth.

Still going 2 years after purchase and the batter life is really good. Hard to say if an oral b is better or not without using both at the same time, but this seems to work well.

I was thinking to buy more expensive version. After consideration I bought this model. It is performing really well. Good price to quality ratio.

I have never spent this amount of money in a toothbrush ever. It has now stopped working, I expected it to last for years. The spindle that drives the toothbrush has suddenly become loose and no longer a tight fight. This means the brush head will not sit tightly as it is meant to and has been since I bought it in Nov 2023. Very poor and I am extremely disappointed in it. I will contact Phillips to see what can be done.

I’ve had a similar toothbrush like this before and would still have it but the stem what the brush goes on had come loose, out of warranty so couldn’t send it back. My other one had different speed buttons also but this updated model hasn’t. I’m still very impressed with it and it’s worth the money :)

Good product these last a couple of years then just die
