Bandai AT-ST 1/48 Scale Star Wars All Terrain Scout Transport Walker, 180 months to 720 months

Bandai continues to clown on every other model maker. This kit is fun and easy to build, is incredibly detailed, and has tons of extra little bits for whatever kind of display you decide on. I'm an experienced builder and the straight build took me about 4 hours on and off. Do yourself a favor and just pick this one up, you won't be disappointed.

This is an incredibly detailed and excellent build model.. No glue is really needed, snaps together easily but I recommend glue for sturdiness. The details are incredible.. you can even see and identify the old model parts LucasArts used for building the studio model they used for the film...I will say again and this cannot be under stated, the details are INCREDIBLE. Now the downsides ? I would not recommend this for a new modeler or someone new to the hobby, the great details you see are sometimes molded in, but oftentimes built up for much smaller separate parts...not for the faint of heart. That being said good weathering and small detail painting you can get about as close to the studio model without spending a small fortune.. Bandai is again proving to be one of the best model companies around..this kit is no exception to the AAA quality they put out.

I build these Star Wars creatures for my grandson and it always amazes me of the quality of this brand kit! This kit has six sheets of sprule parts. For those not knowing what sprule is, It's the approx. 8"x10" sheet of plastic parts injection molded with little pieces of plastic which have to be trimmed away to get the part. The tolerances these parts are made to doesn't require glue except where noted on the instruction sheet which is very minimal. I would not recommend plastic glue in a tube but the liquid cement in a little bottle that comes with an aplicator in the bottle. This type of cement is almost invisible and if you don't paint the model It's better. The majority of the assembled parts just snap together. If you make a mistake in the assembly, you can get them apart with a Xacto knife but it's a rarety. I do not think a person younger than about ten could complete the kit because of the complexity but with adult help and another pair of eyes It's always helpful and a good way to bond with your kids. The kit is very well made, looks fine without painting with grey plastic and the price is worth it even though it took about 4 weeks shipped direct from Japan, it was worth the wait.

Good quality. The are tight fit,some a little too tight. Take your time and have patience when assembling. It's not really a toy, it is a display piece.

This was my first ever model. I have been looking at getting into this hobby for the longest time. It was pretty easy to build once I was able to understand the instructions. Almost all of the parts were snap tight fit. I highly recommend getting a spru cutter and a file. There were a few small/loose parts that I needed to glue. These were hoses and a couple loose fitting parts. How ever, this was a lot of fun to build and I am really happy with how the build came out. The base is not painted nor is the model for those whom are wondering. The base is like a clay brown color and the model itself is just a plain grey. So this gives the option to paint what ever you would like to what ever level of detail.Pros:-Easy To follow Instructions-Easy to cut/pull off spru-Parts are mostly snap tight-Great for a first time modelCons:-Need basic tools(file,spru cutter, glue is optional).

First Bandai model and I'm hooked. The plastic sprues are great quality and the ability to not having to glue a single piece is quite nice. The instructions are easy to understand and not misleading at all, I'd easily compare them to Tamiya's instruction sheets. I did mine in a Tatooine style setting and only used the one decal for the blast mark. Decals are very nice, they offer stickers as well. Very fun and calming activity.

These Bandai Star Wars models are fantastic! This is my second Bandai model and the attention to details amazes me. This kit was easy to snap together. Glue is not needed but, you may find a couple areas where it helps. I will warn you that Bandai plastic does not always play nice with enamel paints. I did have one piece, a front fender, break off after weathering with enamels. It glued back on and all is well but, be mindful of what type of paints you use. Other than that, you can not find a better AT-ST replica for the price. This kit is fun to do and you get good results with a little time and paint. Happy modeling!

This is my third Bandai model. I grew up building star wars lego and this is such a more satisfying version of building star wars stuff because of the insane accuracy. The pieces are so detailed. And not a single on was poorly formed. There are several pieces that are half the size of an airsoft BB. Maybe one day I'll get into fully painting it but they look amazing even without paint. My only complaint is that it took like 3 weeks to ship to me.

El detalle de la maqueta es impresionante. Por el precio que tiene, no tiene nada que envidiar a la calidad de las maquetas de las propias películas. La mía, la que se ve en la foto, la he pintado a mano con un spray de pintura negra, luego, una vez seca, spray de pintura gris para el color proncipal. Añadiendo luego algunos desperfectos con pinceles de distintos tamaños, tenemos un resultado de película.Muy recomendable.

Cette maquette bandai est superbe, de très belle finition et de détails, facile à monter, en clips.. Y a quand mêle certaines petites pièces qui sont fragile, attention.....A vous d'y mettre votre décors ou type de finition vieilli...ou rouillé..Bref, je recommande...

Very good product, out of the box, the finished model was very smooth, detailed, and clean. Assembly was fairly easy - similar to most HGUC-level gunpla if you are experienced with those models. For the scale, I prefer this AT-ST over the X-Wing. Instruction manual was easy to follow. I am planning to paint this in The Mandalorian show skin.*Note: be very careful when inserting the eye flaps - they are very fragile and I snapped one when I tried forcing it in too hard.
