12630 30" Auger, Silver

We just built and 8' x 10' shed, and needed an anchor kit. We looked at several types and different options, but for our shed, base and location this was the best option. I liked the fact that it comes with 6 stakes instead of only 4, and it has all the hardware and connectors. Be aware it is VERY hard to get fully the stakes fully into the ground, but once they are all in place the shed it going NOWHERE. For us, having a longer metal drive torque wrench was they key to get enough leverage on both sides and really get them into the ground. It did take a long time, but once everything is in place and secure, it is super strong and sturdy. For the money and what you get, this is the absolute BEST ground anchor kit.

I used these in place of the ones I received with my Shelter Logic shed kit. Its always windy here in St Francis Minnesota and I wanted something very sturdy. I used a socket on the top of them and drove them into the ground with a Dewalt 1/2" impact driver.

The anchors themselves are great. The cables and the clamps, not so much. I used to this to secure a large shed. When I tried to use the clamps this came with, the threads stripped right off the shaft. I bought heavier ones with heavy cable and the anchors themselves worked perfectly, which was mainly what I needed.

Use case is anchoring grape vine end posts. End posts are 8' tall and 5" in diameter. I used 12 gauge wire to attached end post with these earth anchors. It took some effort screwing these into the ground so I used 4' bar going through earth anchor eye hole, putting my oblique muscles to the test. Installed during early spring, so thankfully ground was damp. Otherwise, it could have been a little hard getting these bad boys into the ground.

They are long, but they work perfectly.They are used to hold down a 10'x20' shed since I live on top of a hill and they work perfectly.

so far they seem to be working well for my intended use. I purchased these earth anchors because I needed something to keep my Mini-vineyard end posts from being pulled inward. They are a bit of a pain to install however like some comments have mentioned; using an impact drill or some sort of Power tool could make things easier. Overall they seem to do the trick but they’re definitely not anything to rave about. Only time will tell as to how long or well these will work for my purpose... the vineyard rows are 70ft long with 3 wires each.

I used these to hold down my 18x21 metal shed. We have had a couple of good winds and its still standing lol. A great tip was using a socket and impact to drive them.

Well made and affordable anchors. I made a driver that fit over the loop of the anchor and drive them in with a large drill.
