This caulking gun is functional but not great. Dripless is the brand name, not the performance; it will drip if you aren't watching it. The plunger mechanism will turn with gravity when you put it down sometimes, so next time you pick it up it won't squeeze out material until you adjust it again. Those are really my only gripes with the caulking gun, otherwise it does what it's supposed to do. It's also not very expensive so I'd definitely go with this option again if looking for a larger caulking gun.

Works okay, but half way throught the first tube, the spring doesn't work to bring the handle back, so I have to do it manually. That is to say, when I give it a full squeeze, the trigger doesn't retract and I have to retract it for the next squeeze. It still works okay, just not as it should. Also, I don't quite understand what is meant by "dripless", because when you stop squeezing, and turn the handle 180 degrees to relieve the pressure, adhesive (which is what I am using it for) continues to seep out a little. So, though it works for my job it is nothing special and actually a little pain to have to manually retract it every time; but I have gotten used to it.

This chalk gun was exactly as advertised. It feels like it us made of high quality material that won't break easily. I purchased this to accommodate larger tubes of sealant that I needed to repair my concrete driveway. The product came on time. I don't like ratchet style caulk guns for they are almost disposable to me compared to commercial style guns. This thing was CHEAP ($10) and paid for itself in applying four 29 oz tubes of Sikaflex SL to my expansion joints. I would not pay $20 for it though; this gun style can be a PITA if you're not an experienced caulker bc of the method used to cease flow when relocating or changing direction of the bead application. In short, great buy as priced!

Excellent profession grade caulking gun. It loads easily and dispenses well. Looks to be made solid. No complaints so far.

Works fine, but is not dripless. Caulk continues to ooze out after the trigger is released. I prefer guns with a thumb release to release pressure on the caulk tube after the trigger is released.

This looks like the 10 oz ones you find at Home Depot for $4-5 but it turns out it is much more substantial. It is made in China but still seems well made. I can't think how it could be improved so I am changing my original 4 star rating to a 5.
