Package of Two Smith Corona XL1000, XL1500, XL1700, XL1800 and Others Typewriter Ribbon, Correctable, Compatible (Black)

I found this typewriter and chose to get a new ink and use it for a hobby. These reels were A perfect replacement and fit exactly. Although, it seemed as if it was dry. And that letters were only coming out 50% and as the real turned slowly but surely I got up to 75 80% letter value. I never really got the 100% image. But it seems to be getting better in time as the real unwinds throughout the ribbon the more viable the ink. But the first couple of cycles certainly are not acceptable. I don't know how long these are supposed to last but if they last long enough then it'll be okay that the first 150 words are not 💯.

Too short they don’t last long at all

I was very excited when I knew I could purchase these online. However, I was a little disappointed that the correction method was not as clear as I would have liked. Typing is nice with these. The ink quality is good. It is definitely usable but I don't think I'd order these generics again.

I was able to use my old portable electric typewriter once again.
