Never thought I'd be writing the following sentence, but: These are the best mid-sized dog poop bags I've ever used in my many decades of dog ownership. Without a backyard for the past roughly decade-and-a-half, that means I must walk my dogs on-leash outside, clean up after them, and carry the dang poop-filled bag for the rest of the walk, until we either reach a public trash receptacle, or the one outside my house. So, what's better about these bags that makes them worth reviewing? Well, the plastic material - claimed by the manufacturer as being made from mostly recycled plastic, so more "earth friendly" -- is thicker than most other bags I've used. That means it feels "better" (for lack of a better word) scooping up the poop, especially if it's messy (soft) poop. The thicker plastic makes it a bit easier to get as much of the mess as possible. The opening of the bag is wide, so if you have large hands, these should accommodate you. And these bags have handles, which makes it easy to tie the ends when the deed is done, and easy to carry them while walking. Finally, with a hot summer beginning, I'm wondering if the thicker plastic will hold in the smell in better too. The manufacturer claims they are leak-proof. So far I've had no reason to doubt that claim. UPDATE: After using these bags for a couple of months over a very hot summer, they DO hold in the poop smell, much more so than thinner plastic bags. And they have never leaked. As for their size: Best for medium-sized and small dogs. My current dog is just under 50 pounds, so considered a medium dog. I've had larger dogs and for them, I used the HippoSac brand bags, which are much larger & longer, and also thick, but those don't have handles. The one drawback to these bags is the price. They're rather pricey for a relatively low number of them. Figure I walk my dog a minimum of twice a day, since she eats twice a day and poops twice a day. Sometimes she gets a third walk, especially at night if she's had the Zoomies and/or if I've spoiled her with extra treats. So really, one box of these doesn't last long enough to justify the asking price. I'm currently in a state where single-use plastic bags that we used to get for free at the grocery store, are outlawed now. So, no more stash of free bags after shopping; buying poop bags here is a must. I can honestly recommend these for medium-sized and small dogs.

I use these to scoop cat littter into. They have a wide opening that fits my large scoop and the handles can be tied to prevent spilling and odors. I find them to be very strong and roomy for disposing of cat litter scooping. I recommend!

Didn't think I'd ever say I love poop bags, but I do! These are thick and strong (very important), spacious, easy to tie and are nicely scented (also important!). They are by FAR a better alternative than the cheap thin bags on a roll. I will not buy anything else now.

These bags are great!! They do not tear easily, never leak, and are a large size. I use them for dog walks and cleaning up the yard. The handles are great for avoiding an accidental hand mess.

We own a Great Dane and we needed a bag that is much larger, wider and able to easily tie on the top. I have to fit both hands in the bag, and use the claw method to pick up after her. I love that the bag is large enough for both hands and no need to use multiple bags. Easy to double knot the handles, almost no smell coming through the bag, and we can be on our way! Never had a rip, tear, or leaks with the bags. We buy in the biggest bulk and it is worth the cost!

Great poop bags and I love the Lavender scented ones. No need to carry twist ties. Good bags and environment friendly.

And who's there to clean it up every time? My trusty human, armed with these magnificent bags. These poo bags are a game changer. No more awkward fumbling while I maintain eye contact mid poop. No more dramatic sighing from the human. Just a clean grab, a swift knot and a proud little strut as they carry my royal gift like the devoted servant they are. They're strong (because I’m a big dog with big dreams) they smell nice (for reasons I don’t understand, but humans seem to like it) and they don’t blow away mid-squat. Major bonus. Also, I heard they're compostable or eco-something which I assume is good. I support anything that lets me poop outside and save the planet. Would I recommend them? Absolutely.
