The Not So Scary Hairy Spider (Hairy Touch and Feel)

My 8 month old son absolutely loves this book. He bee-lines to get to it when I lay it on floor so he can touch the pages. I only reduced one star because the binding tore easily. It is definitely the best sensory book I’ve found on the market so far, though. Most books have one or two textures to explore but each page is different in this one.

We love this book. My baby likes pulling hair, this is a favorite already. He’s 3 months and we read it daily for the hair pulling.

I bought this for my 10-month old daughter and she loved it. She's almost 1 now and continues to love the textures on each page, especially the front cover with the black spider hair. Just be careful not to leave your child unattended with this book....my daughter managed to eat some of the black hair when I had my back turned. Buy this book, you won't regret it. I've tried many other texture books and they don't compare to how cute this one is.

My granddaughter loves this book even more than I do! It's sturdy enough to survive her 11 month old hands (we've actually had it for a couple of months) and the bright colors and fun bug faces keep her interested. She knows where the touch and feel places are on each page and loves to feel them over and over. The message of the book is good too - just be yourself and smile. Hopefully one day in the future she'll remember that!

The kids liked this book however I wish there were more pages - it's very short. The front page has awesome textures. The rest have like a yarn fabric or shiny foil- really flat surfaces that aren't as interactive as the hair on the front. I was hoping for something more like the cover on every page. I'm comparing my expectations to "touch and feel farm" which is probably the best touch and feel book I've seen.

Love this book! I ordered one through scholastic for my 1 year old and loved it so much I bought one for my niece for her 1st birthday. It has a great message and the girls loved the touch and feel pages (especially the cover with the hair lol)

Such a fun and visually appealing book! My son loves it! Each page has unique texture for little fingers. I have not come across another touch and feel book this high quality with this many different textures.The story is also very cute and about just being yourself. Love it

Bought this book for my 8 mo old and 2 yr old grand babies to read to them while at my house. They love touching the hair and other textures in the book and the story is short and sweet for their attention.
