111400PS 400w Pulse Start Metal Halide Temporary Area Work Light, 24-inches Tall, Yellow

I ordered this product off Amazon to add to my tool collection. i have used this lamp to light up my backyard for an outdoor after dinner party, hung from a tree. The 400 watt metal halide is extremely brilliant, turned night into near daylight which wasn't a problem for neighbors because i recently moved into the country. I would definitely be cautious if used indoors in a construction environment, because the bulb gets EXTREMELY HOT, although the metal cage stays relatively cool to touch and can also support the weight of the fixture, though i wouldn't recommend it be set down on a combustible surface. seems very solidly built and durable. The fixture is preset for 120 volts, comes with a cord and plug complete, but can also be rewired to operate at 208, 240, or 277 volts if necessary

Is very bright. When used outdoors it is brighter than the lights installed on ultility poles. It is not waterproof but I think you could seal the box with silicone. Very sturdy and will survive being moved around in a truck as long as you avoid crushing the cage. The cage will support the weight of the unit if stood up on the ground. The top of it is basically the ballast with two steel electrical juntion boxes screwed on to it. The high voltage starter is stuffed into the lower box and the upper box contains different connections for different voltages.

I just received this light and set it up. It is 21lbs and seems to be heavy duty. The only complaint I have is that the latch should be a little bigger and heavier gauge steel. The safety latch seems a little week but works. This unit is MADE IN CHINA. I think if I needed another one I would purchase it again

I've got a few of these. Like any metal halide light it takes a few minuets to warm up so don't judge it by the first few seconds of operation. Also like other MH bulbs they need to cool some before they'll be able to start again. Just some food for thought.

This light is fantastic!Super super bright!I have it hanging on the ceiling in a 16x18 room we are installing a wine cellar i, and it lights it up like the sun.Seems to be of very good quality.It is heavy, so make sure your hanging it on something secure. And it's really designed to hang, I don't think it would sit on the floor very well

The product arrived damaged I sent it back .. waiting for another one.. I ordered 2 , the first arrived perfect.. no complaints, it happens..

I bought 2, and they worked so well, I had to buy 2 more! It was also $100.00 less than buying in person at a retail store! Even with free shipping, it showed up fast. I would only recommend using this type of light in areas where it would be at least 15' high, as mounting in a location that is close to eye level can be blinding. 2 of these are adequately lighting the nave of a church which is 40' X 100'. The only thing i would recommend is having some jack chain handy(or included with the fixture) as the hook on the fixture is small, and because of the heat generated, you wouldn't want to hang it from any type of rope that could fail due to the heat.

Very bright, use it at my work a lot. Glad to have an easily accessible and portable HID light source. Rather heavy though, so you need do be very careful where you want to hang it, make sure you find a sturdy structure that can support it.While everything about it is great, I just wish their was a handle of some sort to make it easier to move and carry around as it is rather heavy, also the fixture can get rather hot, so you don't want to touch it with your bare hands..
