Solid, sturdy cane.
Bought a second because my first one split. That said, I did come back for another. This is a solid cane. It's a good weight, perfect height for me, the grip is comfortable in my hand and I can lean on it all day without a problem, something my other two canes seem to have trouble with. It's stable to walk on and plenty sturdy enough to haul myself up off the floor with. On top of that fact, it's very stylish too. I'm always getting compliments and asked where I got it.That does bring me back to why I needed a second. These canes are carved from ebony, while ebony is a solid and beautiful wood, it is also rather brittle. Dropping this cane on concrete will cause small chips and splinters. If it falls off the rack at a store, about shoulder height, and land on the grip, it will likely split. The split I had went a little ways down the shaft, though, I have the craft skills to repair it, just some good glue and a pin for good measure, I'm just lazy and never got around to it. I do not believe that this should detract from the value of the cane in any way. My new one came with a lanyard which makes it one hundred times easier to store out of the way while I'm at work. Grab this cane, you will not regret it.

Beautiful
The media could not be loaded. It's a little bit heavy, but it is absolutely beautiful and a great solid piece. I would definitely recommend for anybody who takes pride.A perfect mix of elegance and rock n roll.

It's ebony
It's ebony so it's going to be heavy. The T like grip makes it easily manageable. If it had been a ball it would be a no go. To hard on the wrist. I'm 6 foot 200 pounds and it supports me just fine, however, all I need it for is for just in case. I had a stroke a few years back and still lose my balance a bit now and then and I keep a cane for that purpose. I've "got the bug" since then and started collecting canes and this one took my fancy. As I said, I'm 6 foot and this just does fit me so if you're taller, hope for arms longer than mine. The rubber tip is crap unless you plan on walking outside with it and that's all. It won't grip on a glazed floor like in a grocery store or restaurant. It just slides. The cane is also ground to a smaller diameter to let the tip fit that comes with it but is to small for the soft rubber replacement tips. I wrapped a few layers of duct tape around the cane to make it a larger diameter and the replacement tip isn't coming off unless you force it off. Again, it's ebony. It may be strong but that means it's also brittle so I wouldn't go banging it on things to much. If you want one that'll take being banged, look for one made from rattan or maybe even oak.

Helpful
I do not need it often but when I do or my partner needs it, it is solid. Looks great too.

It's a cane
I like the way it's made.I like the wood. That is made out of I do not like the footstopper.I don't like the hook for the crook. And I don't like the fact that it did not come with the box like it said it was going a bubble wrap sleeve

Superlative, Exquisite Cane!
I have undergone a half dozen spinal fusion surgeries and now require a strong cane to help propel me out of bed or when I am seated.I took my time cane shopping and compared this cane with dozens of rival canes including House of Canes, Cane Masters and the entire contingent of custom cane makers on Etsy.Three-plus weeks post purchase, I am DELIGHTED with my purchase! This is an incredibly sturdy cane- I weigh 205 pounds, but this cane would effortlessly support a much heavier person. The craftsmanship is of artisanal quality- I get positive remarks and comments whenever I'm in public. It's hand-cut from ebony wood and as you can see from the photos, polished to a luminous gleam. In sum, if you're looking for a WELL MADE cane that punches far, far beyond its weight and features an eye-catching, novel design then THIS IS YOUR CANE!

Beautiful cane, BUT....!
well, there are plusses and minuses...PLUS - look and feel of the cane. i love how it looks, and it feels solid. it is heavy, but that was what i expected/wanted. the handle also fits well in my hand. on these counts, it was what i hoped for.NEG - it's too short, and the feet that come with it don't look very good, and although they seem to increase the length slightly, it's not enough. also, and this is minor, but it does speak to how they present it...the packaging was a simple cardboard box stuff with paper. although the cane wasn't damaged, it wasn't in a 'high end' package, as advertised.SUGGESTION - the maker/seller should list the LENGTH of the cane ( less than 34") itself, not some 'extended length' of 66" that instead is really how tall the person should be for using it. maybe making/selling them in different lengths (32' to 39" or so?) and i think they'd have a top seller. as it is, i'm considering returning it (i haven't decided yet; i do kind of like it anyway, but i don't think i can use it effectively. i'll try it for a few days to see).
