SENNELIERD'Artigny Oil Pastel Fixative, 1 Count (Pack of 1), Clear

I've never used this before, and I painted a 22" round painting. I was nervous about applying it at first, but it went on perfectly and leaves a satin finish. I put 3 light coats on, and I can touch the oil pastel without it smearing or getting on my hands.

Oil pastels just never dry. This fixative is the best way to preserve your artwork that I’ve found so far. The manufacturer is well known for their top of the line products.

Thin layered sheen to make oil pastel painting look nice and helps doesn’t smear. Smell was not too strong but still have to use it for outside. Runs out rather quickly. Wish cheaper.

This is the best oil pastel fixative! I usually scan my work and idea of oil pastels being smudges all over my scanner was not appealing to me. I used this fixative on the bird i drew. There are a lot of layes on it. I did 3 light spray layers about 30 minutes apart. I waited for it to dry overnight. It looks completely dry. I can't see any shine in it. It looks great! This fixative is pricey but it definitely worth every penny!

I wanted a fixative to ensure that my work did not have any smudges after finishing. It leaves a piece looking nice, however this does have a smell to it. Definitely use it outside and don't leave it around an open flame or a lot of flammable material. The fixative also really turned light colors a lot darker and whites a bit more grey. Slightly unexpected, but just something to keep in mind (this was when working with Sennelier oil pastels).

I bought this to seal my daughter's oil pastel pieces, and this works great! I do three light coats, and the spray does it's job. Will continue to purchase this as we run out!

For oil pastels this is the best fixative I’ve found. Especially for final art work.
