Enochian
A friend of mine bought volume 2 for me on my birthday. It was the first time that I had ever seen an Enochian lexicon before. Naturally, this sparked my interest, and so I bought volume 1, to see what kind of study and research went into the compilation of the encyclopedic lexicon. I was pleasantly surprised by what I found. Authors discussing Enochian practices, by and large, reserve themselves to John Dee's De Heptarchia Mysteria, an Enochian work revealed by the angel Uriel, and some of them occasionally utilize Call 19, used to unlock the 30 Aethyrs. Leitch's double volume is the first major effort I have seen among modern Occult and magical writers to trace the origins and influences that may have inspired Dee, Kelley, and the angels, as well as analyzing the grammatical structure, and linguistic elements of the Angelical/Enochian/Adamical tongue. Across the board Leitch has overwhelming success in his attempt to analyze the angels, language, and the conditions under which it manifested. Instead of displaying complicated sigils, glyphs, and talismans and then bashing the reader over the head with convoluted vocal prayers, Leitch simply presented, in clear and concise language, the foundations for Enochian, and how the layman, or adept, might hope to begin to penetrate the mysteries which the system possesses. An absolute must-have 2-volume set for anybody interested in the Occult, magical theory, Medieval magic, or Enochian itself.

Excellent Enochian Resource!
While I am really not a fan of Aaron Leitch's personality, he is an excellent researcher and a good writer. If there is any quips I have with this book it is the conclusions that Mr. Leitch jumps to in certain areas. I am not a Judeo-Christian mystic and therefore I struggle with some of his interpretations. That said, John Dee and Edward Kelley would probably rate their tradition as a form of Christian Mysticism if they were to look back at it from our perspective today. However, I feel that this is a bit of a miss in the spiritual-alchemy comprehension of today's Magickal theories. If you are interested in a good understanding of what John Dee and Edward Kelley were doing during the Heptarchic and Loagaoth periods of the Enochian development then this book is a must have.

The best source
The single most important book on the Enochian language since Laycocks Enochian Dictionary. If you use the Calls in your magical work this book is essential.

Highly recommended for beginner and advanced students alike
This is good stuff, very good indeed!Aaron Leitch has done the field of Enochian studies a great service in producing this two-volume opus, in which he explains his research into the interworking of some of the must puzzling parts of Dee & Kelley's work. In particular, through his exploration of the mysterious Liber Loagaeth and its integration and inter-relationships with the 48 Enochian Keys, Jewish mysticism (Qabalah, specifically the Merkavah), and more, the author gives the student of Enochian magick a coherent framework with which to work.Although I may not agree with every aspect of Aaron's interpretations or analyses, or the decision to ignore some important aspects of the Dee corpus (especially the 19-day working), this work taken as a whole is overwhelmingly successful and deserves to be read by both beginning students and advanced adepts of the Enochian system. I have no qualms about recommending it highly.

A seriously good study
Aaron has set a new standard in the world of Enochian practice and study. Its a breath of fresh air to come across some new material that ISN'T the same oversimplified Golden Dawn style of Enochian magic that has flooded most of market (not to say this doesn't have its place and kudos to the authors the are exploring new ground). There's not much else to say that hasn't been mention in the above reviews - apart from - if your serious about Enochian magic... you will want to read this book! Looking foward to any future works.
