Updated - still great after moving!
Update: We purchased a new home so the moment of truth came when it was time to remove them from our rental cabinets. Applying hair dryer heat at a close distance for maybe 30 seconds and then continuing to apply the heat at I used a flat, plastic object to slide between tbe sticky pad and the cabinet made for easy removal. What little residue remained easily came off with goo gone. As for reapplying, there were only two replacement stickers so I used the sticky things from 3M Command hooks (cut down to size) with the tab pointing inwards bc it's ugly, and 2 months later they are still holding up to a toddler pulling at the doors yelling CRACKERRRRRRR. Win!The one thing I hate most about childproofing is when it takes four hands, the blessing of a priest, and a magical unicorn tear just to get to get out Tupperware for the leftovers but your child sneezes in their general direction and the hazardous chemical cupboard pops open. These are quite the opposite in that I can open them one handed (yay!) but because of the fine motor skills required my child cannot (yet). Not to say that she won't figure it out some day, but we will cross that bridge if we get to it. They are super simple to apply and were immediately strong - didn't need to wait 24 hours like the instructions said, although I did do them after we put the baby to be so there would be at least a few hours of cure time. They're not the most beautiful, obviously, because they're on the outside of the cabinet, but they're not hideous considering you don't have to drink a 12 pack and bang your head against the floor trying to level the screws inside the door and cupboard. I think it's worth it. Over all, time will tell how they hold up but I have no reason to think that they won't and would purchase them again without hesitation.

Just what i needed
I saw these at a friends house and had to get these cabinet locks because the ones I had before were really hard for me to open with one hand. WHAT A LIFESAVER!! They can be used on everything - drawers, cabinets, microwave, even the toilet seat. They were easy to install (their website has an instructional video) and the 3M adhesive seems really strong. They’re totally adjustable too, but you have to remember to cut the strap to the size you want and make sure there is no extra strap sticking out to make it easier to snap the locking mechanism. The first one we didn't cut the extra off and it was kind of hard to get the piece to "snap" in place. (just watch the video on their website). And once they’re locked, you can’t adjust the length again so . So make sure you know exactly how long you need them to be and then cut the extra strap. They’re easy for me and my husband to open but my 2 year old just can’t figure it out yet. She’s tugged on the cabinets and they have held up. I try not to open the safety latch when she is watching so she doesn’t get a lesson on how to do it. Although I’m sure she wouldn’t have the hand coordination to do it at this age.The other thing I really like is they are nicely designed - not like the ones I had previously on my kitchen cabinets. My kitchen cabinets are white but I am going to order the brown ones too because we have some furniture in our family room with drawers that she just started getting into and the brown ones would be perfect.

100% effective - toddler proof, easy to install and use
I wanted to childproof my mother's open kitchen in order to stop my toddler pulling every thing out of each cupboard. She didn't want us drilling holes in anything or using any type of adhesive that could potentially rip off the new paintwork that she had just had done, so after some careful consideration I chose these. I couldn't be more happy! We purchased these in February, and now 5 months later they are still as sturdy as ever despite all of the tugging that they have gone through! They are very easy to use. See how much of the strap you need, click it into its locking position, stick it down and there you go! Remember to read the instructions before locking the strap - I didn't with the first and locked it accidentally (luckily it fit on one of the cabinets though).A few weeks later I found my toddler with her hands in one of the toilets so I used one of the straps as a toilet seat lock and it fits perfectly! They are easy to undo (for adults) too, so if you are in a rush you don't have to dance up and down while trying to unlock the seat! They are however pretty much impossible for kids to undo. The adhesive on the straps is strong but doesn't rip off paint, and the straps can easily be fully removed once you are done with them. We are going to get another box soon as our toddler has found a bunch of new things to open...I'm very happy with these!

Great product but clear directions/info needed
These are really great and work well to keep my boys from opening several doors in our home. WARNING it is extremely difficult to remove the top plastic peice that covers/slides over the strap once it is closed. Do not close it even half way until you are positive that it is the right lenght. I tried to use a knife to seperate it and I tried pulling it with no luck. I eventually used my teeth (ugh!) because it was the only thing that would work....I separated the pieces but unfortunately in the process I cut myself face twice. Suggestion: place the part with the clip/button on the wall first and then BEFORE you take the backing off of the second part, make sure there is enough slack on the belt before you decide where to place it. Also, and maybe it was just me but I couldn't figure out how they work so I thought I would try and explain...once attached to the wall, push the small rectangle in the direction of the arrow and that peice will seperate. They suggest cutting the belt once it is in place. I but I chose not to in case I needed to move it to another location and the lenghth needed adjusting. Overall it's worth the buy. My 2 year old twins can't open the doors, not matter how hard the push and pull.

Great product, but not without faults
These work very well for what they are intended to do.Pros:Strong - I have attached these to drawers, cabinets, and my oven and have pulled on them several times (they're new so I'm still forgetting they're there) and they have maintained their adhesiveness very well.Flexible/Customizable Length - I have used these for various applications and in all cases I was able to get them to fit quite well since the length is adjustable.Cons:Sticky Residue - I removed one from a drawer, deciding that drawer didn't need a lock after all. The 3M sticky material left a lot of residue on the drawer (hardwood) that I still have not been able to get off without potentially damaging the wood. I'll have to find a way to soak it in vinegar and hope it rubs off.Can only be used once, really - I decided to remove one from a drawer and lock another cabinet instead. After removing it, it became abundantly apparent that once you cut these to fit a certain area, you can't adjust the size again (it said this in the instructions, although I didn't realize until afterward). Since these are $20 for a set, and from my searching cannot be bought individually, I now have one useless one and I would have to spend another $20 to get another set, only 1/6th of which would be useful to me.
