Take it apart and put it back together
I received the table in good condition and put it together intuitively and by skimming the directions in about 10 minutes. I was not pleased though when I found that the tilt of the table seemed very sensitive. It moved so easily, I was not about to place my laptop or a plate of food on it and trust it not fall immediately on the floor. After rolling the table around, it also seemed a little wobbily, but I did not use a wrench to tighten the bolts as the directions mentioned. So, I tightened the bolts with a wrench and that was the end of problem #2. For problem #1, my advice is to take it apart and put it back together giving attention and care to the alignment of the parts. Because the mechanism works to allow adjustment when the long rod is loose, you want to secure the table top on the rod when the diagonal angle is as close of fit as possible, with as exact alignment you can manage. (That is why the directions tell you not to tighten completely before sliding on the table top- however you want it to be more snug than not). When you slide the table top onto the arm, do not allow the pieces to move until you have the table top secured a good 3 inches and well past the mechanism. Once these things were done, the table was as good as gold. If I tighten the table top tight as I possibly can, I am still able to use my hand to tilt the table top with some force, but it’s definitely going to hold my laptop or a drink securely without falling.

SIX STARS!
SIX STARS!This is a superb table! Very well made and well designed. The upper part is chrome and the lower part is a gunmetal gray color of a quality finish. The parts fit together nicely and the welds are smooth and well done. The mechanism used to secure the table, top which can be rotated 360 degrees, is an innovative use of a similar mechanism used the secure the handle bars of a bicycle to the front wheel. The mechanism uses a large screw with a sturdy handle to put tension on opposing inclined cylinders locking the table top in any position. Note: it make take a small tap on the handle end of the screw mechanism to release it.The casters come mounted on the cross bars. They bolt into the cross bars and are easy to replace if suitable replacements are obtained. The caster appear to be somewhat fragile and may have a tendency to break. See comments of those more critical of this table. The cross bars are bolted on with a substantial bolt. The addition of a lock washer would be a good safety precaution.Another criticism had to do with the short screws in the table top. The screws secure the top in place and unless one tugs on the table they should hold adequately. If the screws do pull out they are simple to repair with wood filler or glue in the screw hole and then replace the screw. A strip of two sided tape between the table top and the supporting bracket would add additional strength. It was well packaged in several boxes; one outer box containing three inner boxes.I had a good experience with shipping of this item and I am very pleased with the quality and design of this table. It is well worth the money!

Don't Give me no Lip!
Okay,I can say that this table was very affordable, and very quick to assemble. Free shipping didn't hurt either.I read on a previous review before I purchased this table that they didn't feel that there was enough of a lip on the table to hold things. From the pictures there looked to be an edge on the table, so I thought that perhaps it would work to hold in the grippers on my lap top. When I got it I quickly realized that there is a rubber edge around the table, but its purpose seems to be merely for comfort (protecting the arm from the sharp edge of a table). There is literally no lip to hold anything that can't stick to the table on its own. For a table meant to tilt...this is a problem...unless you're using this as your bedside easel and have clamps to hold your artwork on--then it's perfect! Its also fairly wobbly if not put together with tools (not included)...less perfect for the bedside artist, unless he/she is an Impressionist...then it might work out. There is a hand wheel that is tightened/loosened to adjust the table tilt. I woke up to my lap top on the floor and my 10# kitten trying to hang on to the table as it started tilting when he jumped on it. Now, I didn't intend for this to be a cat table, and having the cat jump on the table is not ideal by any means, but the combined weight of 6# lap top and 10# feline was too much for the well tightened hand wheel. I would have expected it to handle 20# at least without fail. Will I keep it?Yes, because I'm too cheap to buy anything better, and I don't want the hassle of shipping it back. I'll go to the craft store and find something to glue to either the top of the table, or the edge to give enough lip to keep my stuff off the floor.Overall, if there's something else on sale, or you've got the money, go for a different table would be my suggestion...unless you like playing with super glue.

Good for the price but caution needed
For the price of $39, this works well as an overbed tilting table. However, it is not as sturdy as the overbed tables I've had at hospitals, so caution must be used particularly when rolling it or if there is activity in the area (from dogs, kids, etc.). Being temporarily in a wheelchair due to foot surgeries, I had hoped to keep my laptop on it and roll it on our hardwood floors from room to room when necessary. It tips too easily so my husband has to do the rolling and hold on to the laptop. It has to stay clear of anyone bumping it at all. In the bedroom, which is carpeted, I take the laptop off before attempting any rolling. Be sure to get a non-slip shelf liner to keep the laptop in place when tilted as others suggested. Assembly was pretty easy until the final step of slipping the crossbar/tension rod combination into the tabletop tube. I did it myself while in the wheelchair but for the last step ended up removing the L-shaped crossbar from the lower section, placed the tabletop vertically on the floor with the tube up, and worked the crossbar/tension bar down into the tube - it's a little tricky and it would have been much easier to have another person help.
