Yogi Junior Kids Yoga Mat - PVC Free - Double Layered TPE Foam

As an Pediatric Occupational Therapist, I have had the opportunity to use a variety of similar products with my clients, and so I can confidently say this yoga mat is by far superior. Beyond the quality material (that eliminates any risk of skin reaction through its closed cell design) the animal prints facilitate each child's ability to achieve a multitude of complex gross motor poses through developmentally appropriate, simple directions of which extremity to place on which animal (further enhanced with the single representation of each animal on the mat).I tend to be overly critical of products targeted specifically to the pediatric population, and so I was presently surprised by my inability to find any fault with this yoga mat.

I bought this for my junior yogi and she loves it. It’s significantly smaller than my standard length yoga mat but that’s what I wanted since she’s only 3. It’s really soft and a little squishy (for lack of a better term) and has a really cute design and color. It’s also got a nice nonslip feel so I don’t have to worry about her sliding in any position. The back side is a solid blue color and has ridges so the mat doesn’t slide across the floor. Only issue I have is that it won’t stay rolled up very well. I can’t put it in a bag because it makes it too difficult for her to get out so I’ve been putting a clamp on it (think binder clips) otherwise it unrolls quite a bit and takes up a bunch of space in the closet.

All three of us LOVE Yogi Junior.My husband and I were looking for something for our three month old daughter to lay on while we yoga’d each morning. We have more than enough baby-loungers and playpens (travel-sized and larger), but we wanted something a little more low-key. Rather than add another adult-sized mat or invest in foam flooring, we came across Yogi Junior’s kid sized yoga mats. I don’t think we could have found a better option for us. Its size is small enough that it doesn’t cramp our space, but still big enough that we know she will be able to use it, both for play and for exercise, for years to come. It is about as ADORABLE as they come (we LOVE our pink one, but the green and teal ones are equally cute). It is reasonably priced for such a high quality and durable mat (our other mats don’t stand up to our baby and our dog). And...most importantly, being a worry wart, and now even more so that I am a Mommy, I feel reassured that we don't have to worry about the mat being treated with harsh chemicals. I did my homework, and read that it is PVC and other harmful chemicals FREE, the inks used are eco-friendly, and it's 100% biodegrable.If I had one complaint, it would be that the mats don’t come with a carrying strap. As a mother on the move, it can be a little tricky to maneuver (a length of ribbon solved that problem for me).5* purchase. We can’t wait for then to come out with adult lines (Yogi Senior ???) so we can all match!

We were so excited to receive our Yogi Junior mats! My boys have a lot of energy, so wanted to get them into Yoga! I love the beautiful turquoise and purple colors of the mat, but what I love most is the quality. The mat rolls out beautiful without the typical mat creases and stiffness. It is soft and does not smell of chemicals like all of the mats I have purchased in my life. I feel safe allowing my boys to roll around and slide all over this mat. Yogi Junior is well worth the price, in fact I wish they came in adult sizes! Ok. Time to play our yoga kids video, because my big guy is begging me to do some yoga!

My 6 year old LOVES this mat! It's the perfect size for her and should work for a few more years. It's very soft, well padded, lightweight, and very visually appealing. The cats did manage to put a few claw marks in it already, but that's not the mat's fault.

I ordered my mat Wednesday and received it Friday. This is for my 3 year old little yogini. I let her open the package herself and she was so excited. We layer out the yoga mat and played a bit. I was very impressed by the color. The durability. The softness and the packaging. My daughter was very impressed with the beautiful animal faces. She went through them one by one and named them all. I am very happy with my purchase.

I cannot say enough good things about these mats! I purchased one for my daughter along with some toddler yoga books to introduce poses to her and the benefits of yoga. She asks me to pull her mat out nightly and loves it! She loves the pink and the animal designs. We now have a great activity that we can do together! Thanks Yogi Junior! :)

Pros: light weight, good padding, kids can still stay balanced so padding is not overwhelming, great for yoga, nice design, no harsh smell.Cons: product came with one corner wrinkled and distorted, doesn’t seem as durable as I would like (we’ll see how long it lasts), corner on one side folds up like other reviews mentioned (trip hazard), I’mGoing to put my heavy yoga mat on it and some boxes to try and straighten it, hope that will work.
