The Hamptons: Food, Family, and History Hardcover – April 24, 2012

I had heard that this was a pretty good cook book and I decided to order it. To my surprise, it is going to be one of my favorites! The easy recipes, the stories and the pictures are all so nice. The recipes call for everyday items that you would have in your kitchen or could easily pick up. There are over 125 recipes in this colorful, picture-filled book and I can not wait to make them all. This would also make an excellent gift for a cook of any level, an east coast enthusiast, or a person who enjoys the nautical life.

After viewing the documentary on HBO called "Very Ralph", I purchased this book for an inside look into their home life. I found his wife's recollections to be extremely charming and loved seeing the family pictures. The recipes are wonderful and there are even some that I may venture to try one day. If you're a fan or if you just love to cook, this is a great collectors' item/cookbook combination.

This book is so interesting and even though I was always impressed with the Ralph Lauren story, I am blown away by them now. The book gives you a insight into the life and style they have created with fab photos and recipes as well. It is one of my favorite books and I have hundreds so that is saying lots. It is a great coffee table book as well. I highly recommend.

I love this book! The recipes are to die for! They are easy to follow, and delicious. I love the photos of the Laurens. It is like sharing a family album. The photos are sharp, crisp, and artful. I am purchasing more copies to give as gifts.

Good ideas for summer meals and entertaining in general.An interesting look at the Lauren household and their family from young children on.

This book is lovely, great recipes, family photos and inspiration galore ! I love the Lauren family and this book didn’t disappoint. I got it “as new” from an Amazon vendor at a great price, now that it’s out of print, and loved Ricky Lauren’s inspo !

We all love the Lauren family but this book was a bit disappointing. I was expecting more... More photographs depicting the Lauren lifestyle. To all you Ralph lovers like myself, this book is worth purchasing but don't expect to love it the way you did the RRL cookbook.

I first saw a short article in Harper's Bazaar magazine which inspired me to purchase this book. It did not disappoint. Beautful colors, soul, and spirt, with a lot of history surrounding the Hampton's. I loved the family warmth that Ricky exudes.Recipes are included that evoke the spirit of the vacation atmosphere.
