These cables are microphonic.
Ok, I was seduced by the low price and Prime shipping. Bought four of these for my guitar pedalboard, plugged them in and found that they are all microphonic. Move the cable even one bit and you hear severe crackling and static. Tap the cable and it sounds like you're tapping a microphone.Microphonics occur when small voltages are generated from cable movement or contact. Those voltages are amplified by drive pedals, your amp, etc. This results in hearing static, crackling and noise when moved, bumped, or handled. Even one small movement and you'll hear it in your signal chain. All cables are microphonic to some degree, but with a quality cable you'll never notice it. This may not be a big deal for your particular setup, if you're sure your cables would never get touched, or maybe you're not using it with guitar.Even though the feel of the cable is fine, and the price is very low, I'd recommend spending a little bit more and buy from a reputable cable company that doesn't allow their cables to exhibit these terrible qualities.

Weird micro-phonic issues ?
I got these at a clearance price. For what I paid for them, it is not worth the hassle of returning. The cables feel solid and the connectors snap in as they should. no shorts or crackles... the weird thing I get is some microphonic type interference. if you tap the cable or allow the cable to brush up against anything, you hear all of this thru the amp. Honestly the first cable I have ever had do this! I bought 2 of these cables and both of them have this same weird microphonic issue. Its as if the copper shielding picks up every tap or brush against the cable. Fine as practice cables but cannot recommend for either live or studio type setting.

Micro-phonic issues (Buzzing) Pedalboard setup.
I have been using these Monoprice cables for over a year while building up my pedalboard, but I just realized very recently that they have some kind of "micro-phonic" issue that allow noise to pass through. I was listening to my system and noticed what sounded like distortion in the line, but it was just the buzz from these cables going when my noise suppressor shuts off while playing. I ran a few tests, by touching the ends of these cables that I have hooked in to my pedals. It would stop buzzing when I touched those ones, but not other cables on my board. They certainly are rugged; however, and maybe the slight issue of a buzz in your pedal-board doesn't affect your setup, but maybe these are best for other sound projects not particularly a pedal-board.

Warning: Steer Clear of NON-RETURNABLE Microphonic Cables
Just spent an hour tearing apart my guitar rig looking for the source of an annoying hum. Sure enough it was these cables. What's more is that these cables aren't returnable. They look and feel pretty nice, but they are definitely microphonic. Steer clear.

Good cable for the money
I generally keep a couple of days in my gear bag for spares. And I have some mixed into my pedalboard setup. They are thick well-made durable and flexible... now all that being said, what you're paying for them you're not going to get the quality of a mogami or a Belden wire. I can tell you. Cheap cables are for lack of a better description, cheap. However these are well-made. I have had no problems with failure or microphonics that many are complaining about here. Is down the road and I've had mine for a couple of years now, they start to exhibit those kind of problems I won't feel guilty about replacing them. Realistic expectations are the key. You get what you pay for. In this case I think you get a little bit more than what you pay for.

Very High Quality Thick Rubberized Cables with Gold plated Connectors
These cables have a very high end look and feel. They show off the quality of whatever you are connecting them to. The cable is about 1/4 inch in diameter, is pliable, and has a high quality rubberized feel. The connectors are gold plated and are very high quality metal. I could only find them in a TS configuration. In most cases these are probably overkill for improving the sound quality, and they take up more space on a tight pedal board than thinner cables with plastic connectors. They were't horribly expensive like some high end cables you can find. I use two of them to carry the stereo signal a foot or so from from the mixer to the digital recorder.

Subtract the cost of shipping, you get it for free.
One of the jack was not closing properly. When the outer case is unscrewed, back cover came apart readily. Parts do not fit. The pins do not fit the holes, there is no way to completely mate the parts. There is no indication on the packaging of the thickness of the cable. It only says 3ft (thanks captain).Still makes sound come out of the speaker. Considering the shipping reasonably quick and included in price, I paid about a buck fiddy for the cable, which is about right. No complaints.

Cheap cable not good for guitar.
I bought this to use with my guitar rig, good length at a good price. It was used between my pedal board and amp. I found it to be very noisy and sucked a lot of tone out of my guitar. Any movement in the cable resulted in noisy coming out of the amp, microphonic feedback galore. It also seriously changed the tone of the guitar. It drops a lot of the mids and highs from the signal. Very disappointed. I removed it and will no longer be using it.

Even a trash panda would stay away from these
These cables are trash. First of all, the ones they sent me did not have any Monoprice branding on them, just "primecables.com" whatever that is. Second, the tips of TWO of the cables came off in my rack gear, which is going to be an extreme pain to get out. I would not take these cables even if they were free!To give Monoprice the benefit of the doubt these don't appear to be official Monoprice cables. Maybe the originals are good, who knows.

Works from amp head to cab
I use it from a guitar amplifier head to speaker cab. The right angle connector is nice so I can put the amp right next to the wall. No issues, sounds fine. The cable says Monoprice on it.

Microphonic Noise
Edit: Had a problem with the original cable I received and was just out of the Amazon return period. Monoprice customer service came through very quickly with a replacement - process was painless. This cable is as advertised - a quality, over-built cable.
