15-Minute Watercolor Masterpieces: Create Frame-Worthy Art in Just a Few Simple Steps

I just love this book! I like the step by step pictures and directions. I really like how she shows what paints to mix to get the colors needed. I have done a couple of paintings and just love them. I am a true beginner and feel very successful creating these items - and creative too because you can vary them with directions in the book! LOVE IT!

My wife got this watercolor book and finds it very relaxing and fun. It's a great into to watercolor. So glad I purchased this, and I highly recommend it for yourself or a friend.

This is my 3rd watercolor tutorial book and by far my favorite. It has lots of colorful pictures ideas and tips. It also isn’t bogged down too much in procedure and technique. It also feels very doable and great for beginner and moderate water colorists. Gave my 1st copy to my sister and reordered right away!

This book taught me so much about painting in watercolor. I was essentially a total beginner when my sister recommended it to me. I had a set of watercolors, brushes and paper, and very little idea what I was doing. I worked my way through most of the lessons, probably 95% of them, not all appealed to my tastes. The best chapter is the Animals one. The author covers nearly everything there is to know about watercolors from the type of paper to use, the different brushes, brush techniques, painting wet on wet and wet on dry. The two paintings above are my favorites, "Girl in the Wind" is the last lesson and the "Garden Bird" is from the Animals chapter.The main criticism I have of the book is that it is edited poorly, the lessons don't always feel like they were put in any particular order, and some of the directions are borderline gibberish and make no sense. Other than that, I am satisfied with what I learned.

Very nice beginner exercises to help with water balance and color mixing. Uncomplicated descriptions of techniques and brush strokes to get you started.

So I have been obsessively into watercoloring lately. And a lot of my ideas have been on Pinterest.There were two books kinda similar that I wish there was a review of. So here’s my review. Turns out this book is great! The quality of the book is really nice too. I also bought a different but similar water coloring book, and the quality of the book was kinda that of a coloring book, not as professional glossy beautiful pages. So to compare 30 min water color projects and this one. I prefer this one.Because - there was a wide range of choices, there was more organization, variations, and choices.Cons- I wish there was always more!Other book-Pros- beautiful choices, great imagination, great use of colors, tracing options for pictures.Cons- feels like a kinda fragile book ( a thick coloring book) that’s the feel I got when I pulled it out. Disorganized, and not enough.All in all- I think both are great! If you want just one book then get this 15 min one, if you want more options then buy the two! I am happy with both, bc honestly there is minimal overlapping art work!! And it gives you that much more to enjoy.

This is the book I was looking for! The explanations and examples are easy to follow, and I’m having a great time practicing and creating my own little masterpieces.

I'm just learning how to watercolor and this book does give some fun, easy to follow projects that you can do in 15-30 minutes. I'm a beginner so it does take me longer than someone with more experience, like the author. But she is very easy to follow and understand, gives great tips about color and color blending in the beginning of the book and the projects she has are fun for sure.If you want a place to start in learning watercolor, this is definitely a good book.

Tiene proyectos bonitos y fáciles de hacer, además, practica las técnicas básicas de acuarela de una forma muy amena. Es ideal para los que tienen mucho tiempo pero quiere pintar y practicar algo de acuarela con frecuencia para coger el hábito y soltura. Es muy recomendable para los principiantes que quieren consolidar las ténicas de acuarela y disfrutar de ella a la vez.

I usually watch youtube videos for watercolours but needed something I could use offline during my holiday as the internet was going to be patchy. I absolutely love this book- I was very surprised as I thought I wouldn't like this format to learn. I've learnt so much from this book already and find it super simple and easy to follow. I can see my progress with each project which is really satisfying. There are so many projects to work your way through, and they are all gorgeous and fun to work on. I'm back from my holiday now but will continue to use this over the videos I was previously watching. Don't think twice about this book, it's awesome!
