We had another cheaper brand and compared to these, they were garbage. The edges would unravel, the bottom turned to dust. These ones are much higher quality with edges that won't fray. The bottom have a semi-tacky feel to them (not an adhesive, but like a grippy rubbery feel). Simply peal off the clear film and press down; couldn't be easier. I used a laser-level to align all their edges. I was skeptical of them staying, but after a week now, then haven't moved, so seem good. Haven't tried to clean yet, but I suspect they will lift up with the vacuum suction. The reason for 4 stars is the price. $100 for what really should be a product for half that IMHO; it's a little rug, not electronics, not complicated to make. I just don't see how they justify that price. Having said that, I do recommend them, in fact, I ordered another set for our other stairs.

Bought these for an elderly dog to have more stability going up and down the stairs. Non-slip, easy to install and clean. Very effective for the issue I wanted to solve.

These are nice looking and are so helpful on my shiny wood basement steps. I was worried that they would ruin the steps and not come off easily. They easily peel off if you need to wipe underneath and/or re-position. I wish I would have gotten these a long time ago. The only down size to getting black is that they show every piece of lint. But, it will motivate me to vacuum more often. It literally took me less than 5 minutes to vacuum so not a problem. I would highly recommend these.

These are exactly 3 years old. They have never slipped off the stair which is nice, but the carpet loops unravel terribly. Normal usage causes the loops to pull, then the vacuum makes it worse. I just took a long thread of this out of the dog's mouth. Three years is a good run, but I'm back looking for some without loops.

These are very nice tread and have a nice cushion to them. Easy to install and they stick really well. I gave four stars because they snag very easy. Our dog paw pads have fuzzed up several of the treads in just a few day. I reached out to the seller a few weeks ago but they haven’t got back to me. If you don’t have any pets I would recommend these. I don’t like the fact I didn’t get any response from the seller.

These are great. Installed easily and have not moved. They look good...though I wish they had an off-white/beige option. Still, no more worries about slipping on the wood stairs.Only reason I did not give them 5-stars…their loop carpet is hard for the cats to resists. One of our cats just LOVES to pluck at them. I expect these will last us 18mos with his plucking.

This is my third set of stair threads. This time I took a gamble on these no slip rubber backing so I wouldn't have to deal with the adhesive tape again. They are exactly as described. They stay in place and do not move. I have a teenage that hops and runs down the stairs and three dogs that are on the stairs all day every day and I've not had a problem with one slipping yet. They are also much thicker and softer than the ones I had before. Love these and will buy again when they need replaced.

These were a must for our hardwood steps, which were slippery.Adhesion is remarkable. There's no tape, per se. You remove a protective layer from the bottom of the step and put it in place - and these stay where you put them, although removal for repositioning or replacement is a snap!These enhance the appearance of the staircase and are highly recommended!

I bought these treads for basement stairs that dogs were afraid to go up and down on. They are the perfect solution, easy to install and after one month, they have not moved or shifted. After a few days, our dogs (one 14 lbs and one 60 lbs) were able to go up and down the stairs without any hesitation.

Our 13 year old dog was having more trouble with the slippery oak stairs. I was a little concerned as to whether or not the treads would stay in place but they do and really well.They have been down for about a month and I’m really impressed!Great product
