The DGT Timeless pieces are the classical Staunton model in its most common form. The Timeless pieces are very often used in combination with the Walnut e-Board. Many chess world championships and almost all major chess tournaments use this combination. Board not included

Not the quality I was expecting from DGT
The good; the black pieces are really pretty! Honestly, it's the only reason, I didn't return this set.I'd earlier purchased the DGT Royal pieces and they were done really nicely. The Timeless pieces were disappointing. First, one pawn arrived with a cracked base (I replaced it at my cost). Additionally, there was an issue with the black king reading on some of the squares. Vendor replaced it, but reading issues continued. Eventually, I removed a core from my Plastic set and replaced the core in the Timeless king. Problem solved... The felt job was poorly done, uneveningly cut and only covering about 3/4 of the diameter. It made the pieces wobbly. I applied new felt (see pic). Now, I'm happy with the set, but it cost me my time and money to get there.
