A great way to charge and power your devices.
This worked out great. The switch kills power to the 12v plug and the transformer for the USB power, which is great because if you've ever installed one wired to be always on, it would kill the battery in a week or so even if not being used. I didn't want it on with the accessory circuit because I wanted to be able to charge my phone, go pro, and com unit with the bike off. The voltage display helps alleviate fear or running the battery down. It also works as a diagnostic tool for times when you aren't sure of your battery voltage. It is a very solid unit. I just hit a deer at highway speeds and went down hard. It never skipped a beat, and when my bike wouldn't start I was able to rule out battery problems. My phone was going dead and I was hurting, then I remembered I had a way to charge it and call for guidance on getting the bike home.

Electrical works but paint melted off the hardware
Electrical works fine but paint on the mounting bracket randomly bubbles and melted off when not exposed to any heat or chemicals

Voltmeter not accurate, but I like the ‘idea’
Easy to install and I like the idea; but my voltage reading is off. I used several dvm’s to check, and this unit reads 0.3 volts lower than the others. That voltage difference is important to me, I wanted a highly accurate reading to determine if my battery was charging while idling. The mirror base mounting bracket is great, overall I would love to give it more stars, but I bought it mostly to be a voltmeter, and it isn’t accurate.

I didn’t like the way the rubber gasket works, but great item.

Not worth it
I hooked it up per instructions . I turned the switch on and pit the cigarette lighter in. It popped out and the whole unit was smoking. Not me, although the lighter element was hot. The USB plug did not work. I want a refund. But most likely will not receive one because I purchased it a while back. This is just a warning for future buyers of this poor quality product.
