Like Wearing an Actual Alpaca on Each Foot, Great Fit for Those with Giant Feet, Worth the Money
Hi there. I predominantly write book reviews, but my long effort to become an Amazon product expert in books has failed. So help me in my quest to become the foremost authority on socks on Amazon. (Just click that little "helpful" button. Brazen promotion.)First off, these socks are not cheap. Second, they are worth every penny. These are the thickest, most indestructible socks I've ever owned. They seriously feel like they are 1/4-inch thick (they're not).If you want some socks that aren't quite as thick but still fit well and will endure hard living well, check out DARN WARM OUTDOOR Alpaca Socks - BEST NATURAL SOLUTION for COLD FEET - World's Best Natural Thermal Management - ALOE Infused - Perfect for OUTDOOR Activities .They are so warm that you'll swear you are wearing an alpaca on each foot (you know, like an entire alpaca). Third, they don't start to slide down one's calves after repeated washings and wearings. And finally, and this was critical to me: they fit big feet well. I have size-12 feet and often even the biggest socks develop holes or fit like tourniquets—these don't. (BTW, I bought XL for my size-12 feet.). They fit really well, but like a really good boot fits, with a little wiggle room. They don't bind at all. The only downside is that there's no way you can wear these socks with shoes. Then again, why would you (Canadians aside)?

WORTH IT!
I'm known as the cheapskate in my family, so for me to spend $30 on a single pair of socks (what?!) took no small measure of convincing. However, having already spent many times that amount on a yearslong albeit unsuccessful mission to find a pair of socks that could consistently keep my feet comfortable -and- warm from fall through spring, I was getting desperate, as everything else I tried either sacrificed warmth for comfort, or vice versa. Then I found Warrior Alpaca Toasty Toes Socks. Ahhhhhh, perfection! Very glad I took the chance, and this cheapskate plans to buy a few more pair, some for myself and some to give as gifts.

SO WARM!!!
I bought these for my wife as she always has cold feet in the house. We live in the north east and it gets down to single digits and teens a good number of days during the winter. I've now bought 3 pairs for her and they actually keep her feet warm when nothing else would. She likes them better than merino wool, smart wool and any other "winter" sock we've tried. They are really soft and ultra comfortable. Flip them inside out when you wash them and they'll last a long time. She does not wear these in shoes/boots, only inside the house. They are thick and will not fit in a regular sized shoe/boot. I'll be purchasing more in the future without question. Great product!

My feet have never been cold in these socks
I work outside in nyc and I need to stay warm in the harsh long winter. These socks are ultra warm so I only wear them on a very freezing day other wise they’re too warm! They are thick so you have to wear them in a shoe that’s not super snug. When there’s heavy snow outside I wear these under my hunter rain boots which are not warm but water proof and together it’s some great armor to keep my feet warm and dry all day. I also have a thinner pair that’s better for everyday winter wear.

Great socks!
I have ordered these socks twice. My husband has peripheral artery disease and tends to have tingling in his feet and a feeling of coldness. This is especially evident at night, so he likes to wear socks when sleeping. These alpaca socks have given him the best relief of all that he has tried. They keep his feet feeling warm. They wash well (hang to dry) and retain their shape. Although the socks are expensive, I will likely buy more as they are just what my husband needs!

Soft and pretty, yes, durable - no
I won't dispute how soft they are, but they stretch out very quickly. I haven't worn them outside, preferring to use them as booty socks, and with my Raynaud's, my feet get cold very quickly. So I normally wear another, thinner sock underneath. All that said, I noticed that the heels have just about worn out, they have thinned so much already. I could understand if I wore them as boot liners and walked a lot in them, but I haven't. Plus, if I don't wear that extra thin sock, my toes get cold quickly because they stretch out fast. If they were more durable I might give them 4 stars, but I can't do that.

Warm, thick, quality design
These are warm, thick, non-binding, and the toe seam is near-undetectable. I've only worn these for a few hours but I will update my review if my opinion changes. The inside is fairly soft, but not the kind of crazy-soft that makes you want to rub them on your face. They are truly non-binding!! I have fat calves and I ordered a medium (my shoe size is women's 8 US,) and I can pull them all the way up and be perfectly comfortable. Usually I have to fold down the tops of socks because they give my calves a muffin-top, even pricey brands that are otherwise designed well. The band around the top of the sock is a softer, stretchier weave than the rest of the sock, so it has enough elasticity to stay up but it doesn't squeeze at all.The way the toe seam and top band are designed make it clear that somebody has actually thought about the design of these socks and cares about how they wear. That is a rare thing these days! These are not features that make the product thumbnail more clickbaity but they put them in anyway.Note that these are quite thick so do consider if you want to buy them for wearing with shoes. I would be comfortable wearing these with shoes, but I usually buy shoes with room. If you buy your footwear snug these might become uncomfortable due to how thick they are. The thickness seems comparable to the thick Smartwool hiking socks-- much thicker than normal socks, but not as thick as skiing/snowboarding socks.

Worth the money
I have found them to be far, far warmer than other 'warm' socks, such as Smartwool. Well worth spending the extra on these.

Really lovely socks ... but
I am so disappointed. The socks are really lovely and they do not itch (as promised) but the size chart recommends a ladies medium for size 6 to 9.5 ... and they are just too big. The toe part (that is empty because the socks are too big) bunches up inside my boot, making them very uncomfortable to wear. :(If you have a size 6 foot, go with the "small" size or you may face the same disappointment as I have. I bought them to wear with my winter boots. Looks like they will end up being used for nights if my feet get cold in bed. I can't think of any other use for them. For anyone with a size 7 to 9.5 foot, these would be perfect. It is so frustrating! My printer isn't working, so I can't do a return, or I would. I can't afford to spend the money on a second pair. :(
