Chocolate came fast, it was packaged with care. I can appreciate the darker chocolate recipe vs Reber brand of Mozartkugel. The description and details on this page is true if you actually read about MozartKugel part, not the general info about assorted chocolates the company makes. The review below was unjustified. Once I tried several years ago “ Original Fürst Salzburger Mozartkugeln” from the shop in Salzburg, I knew I would never find anything like this again, but they don’t ship here. I wished I had brought more of them back to the USA. I don’t know if this chocolate is similar recipe or not, but I will order Mozaetkugeln again from Dallmann!

While I think the chocolate tastes good but it doesn’t come close to Rebet or Furst. I got swayed but the Austrian reference made in the description and bought. It got delivery two day later and the box wore a sticker that stated it was made the day before delivery da te. OK here. It is decent tasting chocolate but is is NOT Austrian Mozart kugeln.

My wife and I traveled to Salzburg last year and fell in love these local chocolates traditionally made in celebration of Mozart. We bought a second box at the airport in Vienna and when we tried them at home they were terrible, like grocery store bon bon's.A short google lead me to Wikipedia for an interesting read on how large manufacturer's copied the original recipe and you can tell the difference by looking at the packaging. Hand made, premium Mozartkugel are exclusively packaged in silver and blue. The mass produced version are wrapped in red and gold.We live in Southern California and were really happy with the fast shipping time and the overall quality was just as good as we remembered!!!

While in itself not a bad chocolate (compared to other similar products in the U.S market), as some reviewers already noted, for those who had the opportunity to try the real Salzburger Mozart Kugeln this feels like a lower-end knock-off. I thought it was unfair to replicate closely the look of the wrapper and confectionary (now I think they actually inserted the photo of the actual real Mozart Kugel) while in reality it looks and tastes nothing like the real thing. For the huge majority in this market who have no idea what the original dessert actually is (heavenly dessert!) this might be good enough. For us in the know, it’s just a huge disappointment. Where is truth in advertisement these days?

Born in Austria myself these are the best kind of Mozart Kugeln there are in this worldI am writing this review to give the quality justice!As far as I know these are the only Mozart Kugeln using silver foil - so you always can identify them easy and can be assured to have the best kind and quality of this speciality!
