The product comes prepackaged and in a compact box. Once packaging is removed it does inflate somewhat. It is exactly what I need for re-upholstering chairs. Easy to use and very slippery, as needed to ensure that the foam padding is protected inside the chair. The price per sq ft is extremely attractive. When I consider the price of reupholstering a single chair by a shop, the price of this material is insignificant. In my case one chair price quoted was $135 and the cost of all fabric and batting is about 10-12% of that. Note that it includes both the sit and the back of the chair. I did not replace padding that is in decent condition. I did overbought the materials because even with the extra quantity it is still, in total, 4 chair material price is a half of the price quoted by the shop for a single chair. I'd rather have extra to make sure the job is done right

it was a small amount in a roll very low in volume I can’t imagine you could do any sort of upholstery job with just one of these and it’s much more expensive than going to an upholstery warehouse

2 of my sofa cussions were bending/creasing in the middle from daily use. As soon as I layared about 4 layers, of this material, it fixed the issue! I used it all, too. Glad I found this.

We used this as snow for our annual Christmas Parade float. It was super thick and held up even with all of us walking all over it. It looked so good for what we used it for and at the end of the night it was all still intact. I believe if used for crafting it would be super durable and such a great value for the size you receive. We were able to save the roll and we will re-use it for this year's float as well. It was a great purchase!

I love this batting for bag making. It’s the best I’ve used because it’s not so soft and flimsy and it makes the bags stay puffy. The soft flimsy batting is not as sturdy when I make the bags. Too bad the price has gone up $10 for the same thing I bought a few months ago!

recovered 4 chairs and I used this to cover the foam prior to putting on the fabric. It is strong and didn't break when I had to pull it firmly into place. Nice finished look

Cushions needed a Barton to hold all the stuffing together worked just perfect
