A must have
I purchased this edition for my boyfriend who loves the G.O.T show and the A.S.O.I&F books. This is, in my opinion, the best version of the books, and I have the leather bound set which is also nice. I liked it so much I bought another one for myself. I just hope they continue this edition for books 4 & 5🤞

Great Storyline
Of course the book(s) are better. They always are. As a fan of the TV series, I knew I would enjoy the books, but I actually now prefer the books. They fill in plot holes, while explaining some of the backstories to help engage more with characters. At times it seems a whole different world from the show, but in a good way. That being said, the writing can be a little confusing at times. I re-read a paragraph five times, leaving that paragraph without ever comprehending it’s meaning.George has an imagination that raises the bar for other fiction writers.

Fantastic
This is for the anniversary, illustrated hardcover edition of the book:Gorgeous and hefty, just like the first edition in this series. My only gripe would be that it seems they’ve cut down on the total number of illustrations in favor of including both the B&W illustrations within the text along with collections of color versions of them coupled in three places along the book. I prefer the style of the first, where they had like four total big color illustrations for big moments and then B&W dispersed throughout the rest of the book, feeling no need to reproduce those in color. But still a fantastic volume, will keep purchasing these editions for the remainder of the series.

Worth a buy for lovers of ASOIF
The new drawings make this book worth the purchase. Having read through the books twice already, it’s great being able to truly visualize what the characters and settings would look like. This isn’t meant for someone new to new series. The pictures are put in the beginning of the chapter, spoiling what’s to come. This is great if you’re into collecting different versions of the books and this anniversary edition does the greatest story of all time justice. Looking forward to the A Storm of Swords anniversary but hopefully they put the pictures at the end of the chapter

Good - but not great.
The spine of this book is a bit defected and can use improvement, the way it is shown on some of the pictures that other people have uploaded. Still this is the best version of the GOT Book Series that you will find online or in stores, regardless.... The Leather version of these books are overpriced and the print is too small, I am not a fan of paperback and in the second hardcover version of these books the Maps look dull and lack detail. This book is your best deal since all the other books suck even more. Plus the Colored illustrations are AWESOME! The print size is just right and everything else looks pretty neat.

My preferred hardcover edition for a Song of Ice and Fire
As good of a quality as the first edition, color scheme is complimentary to first one and looks impressive on a shelf. Quality artwork and my go to hardcover option for the song of ice and fire series. Hope to see more in the future

Better than the tv series
These books are so good and move at such a fast pace that it almost doesn't even seem like you have read over 800 pages by the time you reach the end. Cant wait to read the next one

Não recomendo
Esse segundo livro deixa muito a desejar em relação às ilustrações. São escassas e de qualidade inferior ao primeiro livro. Comprei está edição apenas pelas ilustrações, pois já tinha uma versão normal das obras do autor... E pelas ilustrações, deixa MUITO A DESEJAR

Great purchase for collectors
I love all three volumes of George RR Martin's illustrated GoT books from Volume 1 to 3. I am waiting for the next round of volumes to come out in this format.
