Nice low cost, added security item for double basement doors
I used this as additional security on our steel basement double doors. Used carriage bolts inserted from the exterior with the nuts welded on the inside to form a steel bar making it harder to pry the doors open. Also have a couple of sliding bolts and a deadbolt. Easy to secure and open. This item gave us the additional option of adding a lock to secure the doors from the inside when we are away for a few days in case someone does break in upstairs (daylight basement). They will not be able to remove large items such as our garden tractor from the basement through the double doors without a lot of effort. We also have a monitored security system so that any delay to a burglar increases the chance of them getting caught - hahaha.
