Kawaii Crochet: 40 super cute crochet patterns for adorable amigurumi Paperback – Illustrated, January 21, 2020

I already have a couple of amigurumi food books, but I can always use one more. Besides, this has patterns for other things, too, like hot air ballons, rain clouds, and pencils. The book is very thorough and is full of adorable patterns. They are arranged by color, and I am not sure how that helps, but it makes for very pretty pictures at the start of each chapter. There are a few patterns that kind of repeat. The ice cream cones, for example, really differ only in color and the crocheted fruit that decorates the top, but this didn't bother me. Overall, I love the book and the price was great. Highly recommended.

I've so far made cupcakes and a heart. I will say the heart gave me a little difficulty when the two humps met, but overall very easy to make. I am going to try to make many more of the patterns. It has a section by color so you can easily use your stash up. I made the cupcakes for my son's teachers, and they loved them!

I love this book. It is easy to read and has super cute patterns. The back of the book explains all of the abbreviations and stitches. Great illustrations and directions. Live these little foods with faces. I think theaw would be great things to make for kids. Can't wait to try a couple.

We love this crochet pattern book. Took off one star as the print is a bit small and would be nice if it was bigger. Easy to follow patterns. I was teaching my daughter and when it finally clicked, I showed her how to make the heart (per her request). She then made shoes for her doll I made her and is working on ice cream.

I love how much effort was put into making this book.The patterns are solid. I've been crocheting for a year and had no difficulties following them.I like how she recommends paintbox colors so you can match her pictures!I really hope the author continues to make more, I have both this book and the plant one.

All in all, very pleased with my purchase! Patterns are very clearly written. Objects are adorable and easy to create.An excellent book of patterns for crocheters interested in amigurumi. Worth the purchase (instead of finding patterns free) to ensure toys are the same general style and go well together. Included a bonus of stitch descriptions along with some general crochet design tips.While none of these things are deal breakers, here are some things to look out for. Patterns don’t specify whether they’re top-down or bottom-up, which can be slightly confusing. Multiple weights of yarn are occasionally used in the same pattern, making it hard to buy all the colors/weights recommended. Related to that, some items are an awkward scale. I found the banana to be too small and the apple/pear/pepper to be too large.
