Tasty and Convenient
The pork luncheon meat is better than Spam, in my opinion. All canned meats are going to be salty, but cut this into cubes or thin slices, rinse, and then soak for about 30 minutes, draining the water a couple times, and you remove about 30% of the salt. Use hot water for the rinsing, and you remove some of the fat content, too. I generally open a can, cut it up, and do the rinsing and soaking, and then put the pieces into small containers for individual meals, and put them in the freezer for when I decide to have some. They thaw quickly. I use a few to add to potato soup or sute with a fried egg Some reviewers complained about so many ingredients in it, but that's not for the pork variety. It's Armour Star Treet that has the longlist of ingredients. Because I have food intolerances that include corn, wheat, and soy, I can use the pork variety because it has, along with the sodium and a couple preservatives, just pork and potato starch instead of corn starch that's in Treet and in a lot of the varieties of Spam. I also noticed some reviewers talked about the red X on the lid and how they threw the cans away or thought it meant the lid was defective. Under the red X is a drawing of a regular can opener. that's what the red X is for...to tell the consumer to not use a regular can opener on it. The lids can be hard to pull back at times, but popping the ring far enough makes the lid easier to remove. I have a cope times used a pair of pliers to pull the lid by the ring, so it's not impossible nor defective. I really like this product and it gives me alternatives for the foods I can't have. It's convenient and easy to use. My local sores don't carry it, so I buy it here and stay stocked up.

Tastey meat at a great price.
I've always loved these canned meats, as bacon replacemant in morning and sandwiches (fried or plain). This is a tasty meat at a good price.

Great.
Always love a good deal. Spam is so expensive, this is a good substitute.

Eggs, potatoes & fried Armour
The breakfast value is perfect! It's the exact reason I bought it. Eggs, potatoes & fried Armour in "moderation" are like P+J, Hope & Crosby, Martin & Lewis, promiscuity & antibiotics. A very useful fact is this is an item people hoard to stockpile in bunkers (tombs) and pre-prepped survival packages. So, stock can be an issue.

Cheaper than Spam for Similar Quality
First off, this item has both Treet and the Pork Luncheon Meat available to buy, despite the two being completely different products. Treet's primary ingredient is mechanically separated chicken, it's of a much smoother consistency than Spam/Luncheon Meat, and it's much saltier. In my view, it's far inferior in terms of flavor and texture to pork-based luncheon meats like Spam or Armour's product. As for the Armour Pork Luncheon Meat, it's quite good and very comparable to Spam while also being lower in price. It is saltier, since most Spam available nowadays is the low sodium variety, but let's be fair you're not buying canned meat products for the health benefits. Just compare the ingredients of Pork Luncheon Meat to Treet, and you can see the difference is night and day. My only real complaint about the Pork Luncheon Meat is the cans. They're supposed to be pull-tab cans, but for me it's nearly impossible to open them without just using a can opener. With Spam I have no such issues. Wrapping it up: DO NOT BUY TREET. It's awful, and I'd bet most of the bad reviews on here are about Treet. The Pork Luncheon Meat however is quite good.

Not Very Good But Very Bad
I tried to like Treet but found it tasting odd and not good. I love Spam and Treet is awful in comparison. It is no treat to eat Treet and I will leave it alone. Worse than Army food. Salty and odd taste, greasy. UGH
