Pack of 6, 15 oz Sticky Fingers Bakeries Bulk Scone Mix: Just Add Water Scone Mixes (Original)

I have been using Sticky Fingers for years. They are so easy to prepare, and have great flavor. I often buy the plain mix so I can add different ingredients, like cranberries, walnuts, dried cherries, and others. However, the last batch I ordered (pack of 6, plain) was outdated, and I didn't notice it until I'd already used one batch. Ordered in September 2022 this batch was dated "sell by 8/22/22"!! I immediately put them in the refrigerator to keep as fresh as possible, but will be very careful in future about checking sell by dates!!

Whenever I return from the UK, I become obsessed with scones. I originally found this scone mix in Cost Plus World Market but I bought the last two of this plain type. (they were on clearance). I'd never tried it before, so I took a chance buying two...what if I didn't like it? Not an issue- it's absolutely delicious! They are super easy to make, also. All you do is add a little cold water. Then mix and place on cookie sheet and bake. I make a good size scone, maybe about 2-3 tablespoons of batter and it makes about 14 scones! They are perfectly very lightly sweet and the consistency is similar to a true scone, like a corn muffin- a bit crumbly. I'm so glad I found them here and ordered the 6 pack!

The easiest scone mix! JUST ADD WATER! perfect scones everytime. I throw in a cup of fresh fruit (blueberries and raspberries) and use an ice cream scoop (to make the scones the same size) and plop them on foil on a cookie sheet for easy clean up. It's a great quick breakfast when you have guests or when you want to take something nice and hot and fresh to work in the morning. Only takes a few minutes to mix it up. Throw them in the oven while you get ready and when they're done in 20 minutes, you can just wrap them up in more foil and off you go!

I love this original scone mix. It's excellent tasting just plain, but what I really like is using it as a base for making every other kind of scone. Add in some blueberries and cinnamon for wonderful blueberry scones. One of my favorite savory scones just needs chopped olives and rosemary. There are many many numerous combinations that can be added to this original mix-- whatever suits you fancy for that occasion. If you have trouble with how much to add, just use a receipt and add the "extras" to this original mix!! Fresh ingredients added to this original mix makes them so much yummier!! Best mix around!!

easy and quick,just add water. Very good flavor,always moist ,although texture is more muffin like. This is good for me because my elderly mother has no difficulty chewing. I can change flavor by substituting juice for water. I particularly enjoy taking canned blueberries ,adding the required juice and several tablespoons of berries. I plan to try applesauce next.Although company makes flavored scone mix,by buying the original plain flavor I can bake that or modify as I chose.

I cannot rave enough about how wonderfully these turned out -- and they couldn't have been easier to prepare. I chose to make 24 small scones from one package rather than 12 medium ones. They cooked in less time and were outstanding at a tea and luncheon I hosted. Pair these with double devon cream and strawberry preserves for a scrumptious treat.
