Old School Meets New School
I'm not much of an inline skate fan, but I do like the newer (inline) type of wheels in Quad configuration. I've not skated in about 35 years, so I'm taking things slow at first, giving muscles a chance to get used to being used again. I love that these have a low center of gravity, giving a better sense of stability. I also like the really old-school design where they go on over your sneakers, so you can remove them and walk if you want to. Again, when muscles get a little worn out skating, I can resort to walking. These move real smooth, and the only thing I've had to get used to is the width of them. You need to keep your mind on making sure not to bring your feet too close together or you'll trip yourself up. It's not been hard to do at all. The only complaint I have is that the right skate is a bit tough to tighten and loosen (by the ankle area, not toe). It's just a small glitch that I decided not to make a case over. All the other ones work perfectly. Overall, I really love these skates and look forward to using them for a long time to come.

Bad brake engineering
The brakes are not placed close enough to the ground, so that when I attempt to stop, the skate has to be put so far backward for the brake to reach the ground that falling backward occurs. This seems to be bad engineering from not taking very tall people into account, as our center of gravity is much higher, and the physics of bending the shoe so far backward in order for the brakes to reach the ground may not cause a shorter person to fall, but it certainly does for a taller person. They seem to be giving me a hard time with the return process, so if they let me do the return I might give the company more stars.

My husband is an excellent skater both quads & inline & he said they ...
These skates were really hard to use. I have been a quad skater for 35 years, and found these skates to be hard to stand, hard to skate, and to stop. My husband is an excellent skater both quads & inline & he said they were difficult to balance while standing and skating also. They were easy to fit to any adult women's shoe, wheels are very smooth and glide easily, but there wasn't any ankle support. The wheels are on the outside of your foot, so it makes it really bulky when you are skating. I thought they would be equally as easy as traditional roller skates, but that wasn't the case at all. They are well built, sturdy skates. If you are really coordinated and easily catch on to new sports, then you might do well with these. I personally didn't skate well on them, but I'm sure someone out there will be more coordinated on them than I am.

Quadline Skate-Adult
These are great skates! I am still getting used to them, the stopper on the back is very hard to get used to. However I am not athletic at all and got these to get into shap. So if you are a skater you should have no problems. These skates are great for me, I am overweight and like I said not in shape. The shocks on these skates give me cushon that you don't get from other skates. It is a great workout and very comfortable and I love that I get to use my own shoes. I would purchase these again, as a matter of fact I did for my 7yr old daughter!
