These are great for sprinkling flour, sugar, or cinnamon for baking. They're faster an more uniform than a flour wand. The cap seals very well and prevent messes.

I think these shakers are the perfect size for what I need them for. I bought them specifically for sprinkling a cocoa powder/cinnamon mixture on top of the tiramisu I made during the holidays. Since then, I have used the 2nd shaker with powdered sugar to put on top of baked pastries. In both cases, these shakers worked perfectly. Since they're not something I use all the time, they are the perfect size so that I don't have to leave a lot of product in the shakers. I'm not experiencing the problem with the plastic cap that some other customers are having. In fact, I really like that the plastic cap is a nice tight fit on the shaker and I don't have to worry about it popping off and spilling. I haven't had any problems with the mesh lid coming off when I take the plastic cap off either. I found if you don't screw the mesh lid all the way, yes, you can just pull it off with little effort (even without the plastic cap). But if you screw the mesh lid all the way, it's pretty tight and you can't pull it off. Overall, I'm very happy with these shakers and would recommend them.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Perfectly matches the King Arthur version, a lot less expensive. One of the containers arrived broken but do to shipping, not the product itself.

Works great for sprinkling cinnamon on tea.. the plastic lid does get stuck, so I just set the lid over the container lightly

Attractive, works well for the purpose. However, every time I've put my hands on these shakers, it's like something from a kids tea set. Super thin metal. The top bend and doesn't not fit the bottom well. It nearly strips out the weak threads, i.e. you have to reverse thread and then re-thread 3-4 times to try and line them up. When it's closed, it doesn't close solidly. I expect a short life for these things, if they get any use. I'd pay twice the price or more for some decent shakers, if they were available.

Simple but effective

I bought these for my sourdough hobby. They work well with the rice flour I use to dust the cloth lined baskets and also really good for sprinkling icing sugar on baking and desserts. I used to use a tea strainer, this is definitely an improvement and I appreciate that they have a lid to prevent accidents when knocked over in the cupboard

I purchased these as I was tired of needing to pull out my sifter for certain things. I used one for cinnamon and one for icing sugar. It was a little pricy for a small container but the quality is really good. The clear lid ontop actually snaps into place so I dont need to worry as much about them spilling too easily. The only concern with the clear lid is that it can almost be a little too hard to remove, but I rather that than too easy. They dont have any smells. They were easy to wash. They work really well and dispense evenly. I would recommend these.

As I was giving the shakers I received a wash before use, I noticed some loose strands of wire from the mesh on the lid that were hanging out a little. If left in place, I could see it dislodging and ending up in the food, which would not be wonderful to ingest. So just be careful when you receive the product that you inspect the lids closely and remove any leftover metal strands that might still be present from the manufacturing process.
