Brown Large Roll Top Recipe Box with Dividers | Holds 3" x 5" Recipe Cards - 11.75" x 6" x 5.25"

I have a large collection of recipe cards: mine, my mother's & grandmother's that were all in separate boxes. They all fit very neatly in this large box. It is attractive and looks nice on my counter. The roll-top could be a little more sturdy, but over-all I am pleased with this purchase.

This is just the ticket for those of us who have lots of tried and true recipes. It holds lots of recipes and has wooden dividers every few inches so recipe cards stand up within the sections. It comes with printed sectional dividers, which I find handy. The lid wraps totally around the box, giving easy access to all recipes.

It states that holds 800 3x5, I would say doubtful, but nevertheless, the roll top works just great. It has a very nice appearance, even though there were some reviews saying they received broken or damaged. I received in very good condition and I am glad I ordered it. It did replace two of my recipe boxes and I am very happy with it. I do recommend it to anybody who has a lot of recipes. I also ordered the recipe card dividers which really help organize in a practical way. I also put my favorites in plastic sleeves to protect from my hands while baking and cooking.

I would give this a 4 if it was not that the box came with a chip on the left side of the box, a chip where the wood is peeling. I would return it but I bought it as a Christmas gift and do not have the time to look for another one. I will try to upload a picture later. I appreciate it came fast but not that it was defective.

There wasn't one thing I didn't like about this box. It was very well made and the top rolled easily. I don't have to hold up the lid then finger through my recipes to find what. A customary box would have closed down on my fingers the whole time while searching. It is large enough not to have other boxes as I once did.

I had really high hopes for this product and was so excited to get it, but it broke before I could even get it out of the box. Each side piece is actually two pieces of wood, not one solid piece like I imagined. Unfortunately, the only thing holding those two pieces of wood together is a little bit of really cheap glue, which easily came apart when I tried to remove the product from the box. I thought about trying to fix it, but the under side of the roll top was covered with what looked like moth cocoons. It was pretty gross and I decided just to send it back. Overall, it seemed like a very cheap product. Definitely not worth what I paid for it. Thankfully, I did receive a refund after returning it.

The reviews for this product seem to be hit and miss, but I bought it anyways because it was the only 3"x5" card holder I could find that was large enough for all my recipes. I'm pleased to say the product I received is very sturdy, the roll-top is quite smooth, and it's very attractive in my kitchen. I can't speak for others, but I think this is a great product!

I have a few of this type of filing box, and I have loved them (had them for years). This one is similar, but not made quite as well as the ones I own (by Teak-Tech of Dallas, TX) which has nicer roll-top material with flat slats, and a handle that fits right into the groove for the rolltop (see photo of my Teak-Teck). The Mountain Woods box's handle looks like it's nailed in. That being said, I do like this box. It holds lots of index cards, and the price was pretty good. If you like a more rustic design, I think you will like this.
