Soo many WONDERFUL things to say about this awesome laptop backpack! I’ll start with the first thing that ALWAYS MATTERS TO ME — aesthetically, the backpack is BEAUTIFUL!! That solid Alienware symbol on the front against the hard shell cover…great touch! The black on black design is sleek and hardcore looking in my opinion!I wanted an Alienware backpack to go with my Alienware R3 M17 gaming laptop that could also hold all my professional camera gear for sports videography and editing I do. This bag superseded all my needs and some!! Not only did my 17.3” laptop fit perfectly and safely in the bag, so did the HUGE power cord, my External Hard Drive with a case also fit, my Panasonic photography camera with 2 lenses — one being a smaller lens and the other being my huge 70-200mm lens fit, along with my actual camera bag that I still keep the camera itself in, all my chargers and storage cards fit, my folders with my paperwork fit, and I STILL HAD PLENTY ROOM FOR MORE! So I know what you’re thinking now….that backpack must have been so heavy and uncomfortable to carry with all that stuff in it! Ugghhh, WRONG!!!! Bruh, the padding of this backpack is so thick and of good quality that it makes carrying the bag extremely comfortable! With all that stuff in it, I promise you carrying my 2 year old son is worse…and heavier, and he’s skinny!I adore the zipper part in the front that allows you to pull out a mesh cup holder, which I used to hold my glasses case. If you don’t need it, you can shove it back into the compartment and zip it back up so it’s not seen! Soo unique and creative! I can tell a lot of thought went into making this bag during the design phase!Absolute kudos to the designer who thought to add USB cord slots and SD storage card slots up in this bag too!! I’m telling you, they thought of it all with this one! I just adore those little features that seem simple but are soo convenient for people like me who do work of this nature on a daily basis!If you don’t get this backpack, something is just wrong with you lol. Put it this way, my husband who watches every dime I spend on a purse, told me I’m a fool if I don’t keep this backpack, and clearly, the backpack ain’t cheap! It’s a pretty Penny but worth every dime!! I promise you, you won’t have any regrets!!

12 year update:I have been using this backpack DAILY for 12 years. It has been to almost every US state, hundreds of domestic flights and cross country drives, and 8 foreign countries. Not to mention just going to the office, family trips, and everything between. About 6 months ago the main front zipper started skipping teeth. And a couple years before that one of the double zippers on the main started to get stuck, so I just sewed that one in place. This thing has just been so reliable I can't stand to part with it. I just looked up the purchase as a joke to see if it was still available and finally order a replacement. And it is still listed (as temporarily out of stock)! I feel bad if I order a new one, we have been through so much together. So, not sure if I will stop using this one yet (it has been 12 years!), but good to know it may still available soon!?Hey, Mobile Edge, what's you return policy? Lifetime warranty?Orig:This thing has more pockets than a kangaroo convention! Every time I open it, a new pocket is revealed to me. I am afraid someday to open it up and find another dimension. Fortunately I had this pack while I was doing some home renovations so I had a place to put my kitchen sink... (Except the secret beverage pocket on the side - that is too small to actually hold a typical beverage sized container. How weird?)I put my laptop, ipad in otterbox, xoom in pleather case, 5 subject size notebook, receipt book, business papers, mouse, five chargers, POS camera, GPS, deck of cards, dice, gum, pens, ratchet straps, sweatshirt, a gift for mom, USB drives, sunglasses case, passport and condoms in the backpack - with room to spare. And it still fits under the airline seat in front of me...The handle is handy for tossing it in the back seat or on the particle scanner conveyor belt at TSA. But it will bonk you on the head if you lean forward too far.I have an ASUS 17" laptop. The laptop pocket is a bit larger than I would like, not a snug fit. But it has a elastic velcro strap so I am not worried about it falling out, just not as snug as I would like.The ONLY thing I don't like about this backpack, and why it got 4 stars (I would give it three, but the positives of the pack are too great) instead of five, is the shoulder straps.The material is fine, the padding is good (even with the tonnage I put in the thing), the length adjustment is enough.The gosh-durned things are simply too far apart. The straps ride on the front of my shoulders instead of the sweet spot between the shoulders and the pecs. It does have that little adjustment strap between the two shoulder straps. Adjustable up and down and elastic by the clip so it allows lateral movement. But I hate those things. Even tightened fully, the straps are still too far apart for my liking and just feel awkward. The misplacement also increases fatigue. I have to take it off more frequently than previous packs. Maybe someday my body will conform to it?I wouldn't let this dissuade you from purchasing this pack, you may be a different size than me.This is the best pack I have bought for my PC. I use this pack mainly for work/business.On a side note, the pack that arrived is slightly different than the one pictured. On initial inspection, it appears the same, but mine actually has more pockets than pictured. Better than photos.

I have put this bag to the test. Working in a manufacturing enviroment, most products fall apart within months if not weeks, but this bag is in mint condition. My laptop stays secure and has plenty of room for all of the machine manuals and my stationary. The airport friendly zippered compartment is perfect for customs and also friendly when working out on the floor. I can fold it out to give me a clean an safe enviroment for my laptop and documents when running test. Also, it is super easy to clean. A wet wipe is all it needs to get it back shining with the exception of the cloth backing and it only takes a few scrubs to return it to normal. Plus the cushioned cloth is so comfortable when wearing i prefer it the way it is completely. The outer hard shell has already saved me from a few close calls backing up into metal and once when getting out of the car i dropped it. No damage to my contents inside or the bag itself. Where others have failed and lacked in functionality, this bag has proven itself time and time again. I recommend this bag to anyone. It has a stylish look for any environment; school, work, or personal use. It is worth every penny spent and when.....if....it finally wears out, i will be a returning customer. I usually do not write reviews unless i am very impressed with a product and i am a very picky person. Love, love, love this alienware bag. Going to get the alienware wireless mouse and keyboard as soon as i finish this review. THANKS Alienware!
