Great for power outages
I bought this for power backup. During a power outage my husband was in his electric lift chair and fortunately was not fully reclined. Even with it only slightly reclined, it was very difficult to get him out of the chair. If it was fully reclined I don’t know how I would have been able to get him out. The power was out for over 8 hours. This is very easy to setup - just fully charge the battery, unplug your chair from the electrical power transformer and plug it into the battery and it worked great. Would highly recommend.

Great solution - running strong almost 2 months after install
We've had the battery packs connected for almost 2 months now. We bought 2 battery packs, one for each of our double recliners. I can't say how many recline cycles we're up to but there are 4, sometimes 5, people in our home and the recliners are cycled multiple times per day. Our USB ports are wired separate from the motor circuit, so they aren't a load on the battery packs. We have yet to hear the audible sound to signal a battery low, and they're still functioning just fine. They were a great solution to our need and I'm very pleased with their performance.Update 9/24/2020: A couple days after I submitted the review, we had to charge one of the batteries. The other is still holding up on it's original charge (just over 2 months of use, now). There's no audible to warn that the battery is low (that must have been another brand that I looked into).

Everything I wanted
After looking at all the different battery packs, with all the different price ranges, and reading their reviews; I chose this model deciding to pay a little extra money to try and ensure I got something that would fulfill my needs for emergency back-up power.I bought this unit for a specific single use purpose, as an emergency back-up to get me out of my lift-chair when the power went out; after having a very difficult time getting out of the chair during two previous power outages without any form of emergency back-up. I bought the lift chair because I have very bad arthritis in both hips. Three days after having the first hip replaced, a severe wind storm came through and knocked trees over causing a prolonged power outage. The battery pack had previously been located for easy access while in the chair in case of just such an emergency, and hooking it up was a breeze. It worked flawlessly, lifting me up and out of, and also taking me back down into a reclining position many, many times throughout the 26 hour power outage, and was still going strong when the power came back on.My guess, the people who gave this battery pack a bad review, probably didn't follow the instructions and didn't fully charge the unit before using it the fist time.I was very glad I bought this unit, and although I really only needed it to get me out of the chair once, it went above and beyond all of my expectations, working as I said, the whole time the power was out. It was easily recharged, and is once again ready to come to my rescue when needed.Depending on your requirements, I highly recommend this product, giving it 5 stars.

Short battery life but works great if compatible plug in
Very short battery life, maybe a week / week and a half for my recliner that I use often. I think they advertise a month or even months... no way. Easy to charge. No cord to trip on is the reason I bought it. Has to have a compatible plug in, my recliner section had it, my arm rest/cubby section with two USB’s and two outlets did not have the compatible plug in.

After 3 months... and lots of use... it's still working well.
I waited to write this review, as past experience and other reviews showed these chair battery chargers had premature and ugly deaths. So far... this guy is still performing well. It gives solid power, charges easily, connects easily and has a small footprint. Really... all good. They give you extra parts for unknown uses I hope I can avoid, but the basic hookup has worked well. My only questions are... 1) could I charge the battery when it is NOT fully dead - or must I wait for the unknown time to charge when it is 100% empty - that's the path I've taken to date, with the downside being it croaks unannounced at my most lazy / tired moment as I jump on my recliner. 2) I also hope it lasts a bunch of charges... but time will tell. 3 months with solid performance allows me to think it's time to give it a solid compliment on good performance.

Same as the brick and mortar stores
Half the price as the brick and mortar stores. Save the money and just order this. Just let it charge for the first day, and it works like a charm. Currently use it on a Best recliner with touch sensitive buttons, no issues at all. Had the same set that we purchased from the brick store, so we know they will last 2 plus weeks operating double reclining couch with lumbar and head rest. We have had the battery packs running the recliners now for over 3 weeks and still no need to charge. There is an indicator noise when the battery goes low.

Arrived on time in good condition
The items were in good condition.Several were just original packaging. This isn’t good at Christmas time as they are presents and takes away the surprise element.
