The Noble Collection Hermione Granger's Wand with Ollivanders Wand Box

a nice weight. good detail and finish. No edges, no seams. Feels really good in the hand. And the length is true to the specifications in the books. The pictures make it look like the vines on this one might be green. they are not. it is monocromatic. I suppose you could add some color to the vine, which could look great. In fact, this wand almost begs to be painted. The impact of the box on tweens is not be underestimated. When mine got it, the covering sheer ribbon and velvet lining made a huge impact, something like "You can tell this is a real wand - because of the box." Then her friends saw it . . . and they each said the same thing. Next thing you know, three of them bought the same brand (though different wizards) on Amazon. However, the box does not say "Ollivanders," on it. It's got a decorative label with a generic pattern that's nothing to do with the franchise. Another friend has a wand from Ollivanders at Universal, which costs about the same as this one. It has a plain box, nothing special, but it does say "Ollivander" on it. I that makes a difference, then you've been warned. If not, this is a great wand and a fancy box.

Got this as a gift for a little girls birthday gift. She loves it. And since she turned 11 and has discovered Harry Potter it was perfect. the quality is perfect it's really beautiful. Was with it

Nicely made product. Would make a great gift for anyone who is a Harry Potter fan. A little on the expensive side but well worth it.

This is one of the coolest things I've gotten in a while. I've always wanted a 'real' wand when I was a kid seeing the first movie and getting into the books, and now that I'm an adult with money, this seemed like a logical choice in order to fulfill that childhood wish to be a wizard. Getting this in the mail was legitimately exciting, like 'holy moly, I'm finally gonna be a wizard!' I just couldn't pass up a chance to give this a review. Firstly, the packaging it came in was considerate-- they had a box more than double the actual product's size box filled with the big bubbles (not the classic bubble wrap we love to pop- the big ones that make the very loud pop sounds), with I believe another box snugly around the actual wand's box (might be mistaken-- I was too excited to pay much attention to that middle box). I thought that was really nice. The actual wand box is really pretty. It's a deep green colour with stickers on either end of it. Identical to the picture they advertise except the picture's colour is a tad lighter. When you open it up, there's two strips of ribbon that are red covering up the wand itself, as well as a certificate of authenticity. The ribbon can't be removed. Under the ribbon, the wand is snug in nice green velvet. It's a very pretty box overall and is perfect to display the wand when you're not holding it. In fact, it looks pretty much identical to the boxes from Ollivander's store in the movies. For the wand itself, it's simply gorgeous. The colour is a darker brown than the picture advertised, but it's still amazing. The wand's not made of wood, but it's made to look and feel like it is. It's got a bit of weight to it; it's not 'heavy,' but it feels a bit heavier than the average stick you'd find in the yard. There are vines along the wand, and they have a carved look to them, like they were actually carved from wood. It's a nice touch. I haven't noticed any seams on it, which helps with the wooden appearance, though small copyright print can be found near its base. It's not intrusive though, and if you're planning on using it as a costume piece, your hand will cover it up anyway. Heck, if you're planning on displaying it, it's easy enough to hide by just not showing that side. It actually took me a few glances to notice it. Other than that, holding it has a magical feel to it, like you want to let your imagination run wild and pretend to be a wizard. Of course it can't actually cast spells, which is the only disappointment I can find, but it doesn't matter when your using your imagination to make it come to life. I don't know how durable it actually is, so I don't know if a kid that's a tad rough on their toys will be ok with this, but for Halloween or gentle pretend play, I can see this as a must-have. This is honestly amazing and any kid or adult that wants to be a wizard will probably adore this. And just so you know, it really does look identical to the advertised picture, except a tad darker than shown and the ribbon's red.

I Bought this for my best friend for her birthday and she lovvvved it!!! I plan on getting her the whole set because she displays all her Harry Potter stuff in her office at work... I would definitely recommend

I received this item just yesterday. It arrived five days faster than estimated. The packaging was wonderful. The case was pristine when I took it out of the packaging. The item itself is fantastic. It's heavier than I expected, which is great. Here are some things a lot of low ratings I've seen have in common: a child played with it and it chipped when hit against something, the paint started coming off after constant handling, or it shattered when dropped. This is a collector's item, NOT a toy. It's not meant to be played with. If you want to buy something for your child, I'd recommend the light up wand, or something that's clearly meant to be played with, not a $40.00 collector piece. I would definitely recommend this item to anyone interested in collection.

These wands appear to be the same ones available at Universal Florida's The World of Harry Potter's Olivander's Want shop. Though a nice plug, I include that because I know people will be looking for the ones they have seen there. It comes with a nice solid box that can be used for display and storage. There is no exterior label. The wand itself is sturdy. The design work overall if good. They should be usable for "play" but will break if placed under stress. They are a good collectible/toy for fans of the books/movies. Of course, there can be a little disappointment that it is not magic, and does "do" anything. If you forewarn the child, they should enjoy it and use it for play time. The Hermoine wand has intricate details that are there, but are a little "flatten" as necessary in the mass production.
