Purchase at your own risk.1.) Doesn't secure to the knob well with it's sewn portion at the base. Makes the customer do the work to achieve a good fit. Not a great design and not great marketability. Elastic would have been a much better solution.2.) The faux leather feels extremely cheap. Part of the reason I went with this cover is to also create a better touch sensation with the shifter, as the stock knob feels very plastic-y and cheap, even if it looks nice. This cover doesn't do much to help that sensation. Feels like it was made with PVC.Even the string they provide is garbage.Returning. Picking up a genuine metal shift knob instead from another well-known online store for less money.

I honestly like this product but you get what you pay for. You need to sew this yourself - the package provides you with two needles and plenty of thread.There is a gap on the actual product, as seen in my photos. It’s not sewn from top to bottom. I began sewing from the inside to hide the knot so I suggest that if you’re particular about it.Quality seems okay!

I did not know it came with a needle and thread to sew it all together. I just wrapped it around because It was hard to see it. The direction of my gear stick and how it is to be fitted was very hard to sew. I just wrapped it around. Wish it was a stretch to fit cover.

UPDATE: 12/28/19The treads on the top and sides are coming apart with just normal use of the shifter.I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT. Poorly made.I didn't know that I was going to have to sew this in order to make it work right. I have arthritis in my hands and it was not easy and I have no one to help me. Maybe you should put that into the description. A little more snug would have been better but it's okay.

While the Leather Gear Shifter Cover looks good, I have an issue with the whole sewing thing.It gives you only 4 holes to thread the thread threw so, what's the point of having to sew it?It would be much better to have Velcro.

There’s nothing I didn’t like! However, you have to be patient because it has to be stitched over the existing shift knob.

This is not at all what I want to fumble around with. You have to sew to the knob.

Is nice if you know how to saw. Should be in the beginning of the description that you have to sew it yourself.

I would not recommend this product at all, product came and did not look like the pictures. Requires a level 2 grandma to install, which shaped and came off on the first day.I don’t even know what I was thinking when I bought this. For the time that it was on, it was very uncomfortable and kept sliding everywhere. If you want to update your gear shift knob, I would recommend buying a whole knew gear shift knob, it’s easier to install, and looks and feels so much better, just for a couple more bucks, it’s a lot more worth it. All you have to do in untwist you’re current knob and twist on your knew knob
