Little connection with cross-cultural mission
Meyers tries to connect worship to mission by attaching all elements in worship in some way to mission to the world. The effort fails miserably. The major connect in the book has been a theological and theoretical grounding of worship elements into an original intent that everyone in the world needs to be included, not just the worshiping congregation. If everything in worship in theology is connected to mission (cross-cultural mission?), then almost nothing is quite connected with mission. Pastoral leaders are no better off after studying the book about what to change in their worship to include mission.

A fantastic resource
An Excellent resource that grounds the liturgical reality of the church's worship as mission and renewal - a must read for anyone interested in these combined areas.
