Information:--------------Something that I think a lot of the negative reviews here seem to have missed is what an actual 3 way valve does. A 3-way pneumatic valve is a valve with three ports that are used as inlet, outlet, and exhaust. In one position, the valve allows fluid flow to an actuator. In the other position, the valve exhausts the fluid from the actuator. Some 3-way valves have a third position that blocks flow at all ports.The fact that the valve is exhausting when the pedal is in its resting position does not mean that it is "leaking". This is the expected operation. The valve is not "open" in resting position, at least in a way where it is sending air to what is meant to be actuated, it is sending the air to the exhaust port.That being said, just as another review mentions, you can block the exhaust port.Thread in ports:A - 1/4" NPTP - 1/4" NPTexhaust: 1/8" MIPMy Use Case:---------------I'm using this pedal to control an pneumatic chamfering tool that I have mounted to my fixture table. It works as expected and allows me to use both hands on my work piece. I plan to also modify my air over hydraulic press to take advantage of the pedal.Negatives:------------From the very get go, the valve itself had a slight leak. I have only had one working session while using it, and plan to disassemble it to see if I can stop the leak. The leak is minor and for a $20 valve, I can deal with it. This is the reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars.

I setup a DIY engraving rig and looked everywhere for a pedal to control the airflow when I stumbled upon this little gem. I couldn't be happier with how easy it was to connect and with its performance. It was exactly what I needed. I thought it might need some modification to fit my setup but all I had to do was plug the hose into the fittings it came with and I was off to the races. It's been a game changer for me. It's well made and sturdy enough to handle the workload I throw at it. I can see this lasting me for years.

I received this and was immediately suspicious that it was a defective return. As you can see in the pictures, both mounting feet are bare metal and there are numerous scratches and other paint spots on it. I went ahead and tried it out anyway thinking I can live with a few cosmetic defects but, after carefully wrapping the threads with Teflon tape, it leaked out of the ports. That was the end of that. I shipped the item back as defective and used. I received the replacement on 11/7/2020 and noticed that there are multiple defects in the castings, but the paint is intact. I'll hook it up today and update my review.
